Title: Wii question

Suigintou's Friend - June 17, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
My girlfriend has it in her head that she wants a Wii since we played Wii Sports over at my brother's house while visiting last weekend. Not that I'm against it, it's fun. :P

But I've never played another game besides Wii Sports, and I'm not normally a video game player. What games would be worth it to get for two normally non-gamers on the Wii?

Warioware, perhaps? It's good fun, and its minigame-based gameplay should mean it works well for this situation (by not demanding much (any?) time spent learning stuff). The Rayman game, being also minigame-based*, also works here, though I don't remember if you had to beat its single player mode before getting its multiplayer.

There are probably other good choices, but those are the ones I'm most familiar with... ^^

* A big difference between the two is depth; Rayman has longer minigames, while Warioware's last only a few seconds each.

Wii = total fun.

Any Mario Party games can be tons of fun for non-gamers and especially if there's more than one of you playing. Mario Kart Wii is a lot of fun too, once you figure out the feel. SSBB is a little more difficult for newbies to pick up. Twilight Princess is pretty fun so far, but I'm not crazy in love with it. (: Even though it's not a Wii game (Wii's are backwards compatible with Gamecube games, FYI), Animal Crossing is a necessity for anyone!!! It's not difficult AT ALL to play (my 6-year old brother can play it), but even my mom enjoys it, and I still play the DS version regularly. That game is like crack.

Seconding the Wario Ware reccomendation. That game is kickass.

And, check out Mario Kart Wii. One player's nothing special, but multiplayer's really fun, especially if you use the Wii wheel. XD

^ Yeah, exactly *A*

I've never actually played WW because I don't like Wario (<- the character). XD Ashley-sama is really cute, though...

The Wii had been sold out longer than any of the other Next-Gen systems, combined. Mainly because of the price (250 USD), and the complete playability by anyone, even non-gamers. The Wii is an excellent choice in gaming. :cool: Oh, don't worry if you don't "find" one. Stores will have them in stock.

As far as games, pretty much ANY multi-player Mario game is a good choice. If that don't suit ya, purchase some Wii points and download yourself some of the classic games you grew up with. It's always worth it. :D

Mario Kart Wii is probably a bit too frustrating for non-gamers. I hear Wii Fit is tons of fun, though. PLUS IT WILL HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT, FATASS. (8<

Sit-on-butt games that are fun include Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess. For the most part you can take your time with them, and with Galaxy either one of you can take the main role and the other can also contribute by shooting things.

I should, uh, probably get Wii Fit. ):

I couldn't see non-gamers playing Brawl, Starfox 64, or Super Metroid... o.o

Wario Ware would be best I think. Wario Wares aren't so much games as they are pure entertainment shoved into discs and cartridges. Wii Fit or Mario Kart Wii could work as second choices. Rayman Raving Rabbids isn't bad, but only a handful of the games allow multiple players.
