wow that kinda looks like habbo hotel gfx! Great job!
we could make like a whole bunch of buildings for a Pixelville!

Chessmasterriley - October 24, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
Very Nice!!! Both of you!

Kindred - October 24, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
Good practice when doing isometric pixel art is to keep your lines at 0, 22.5, 45, 67.5 degree angles.

The house's roof in the tutorial is kind of an awkward line.

I know I should have asked first, but I took the opportunity to add a few of my own touch's to it. One thing I do want to point out though is the lack of reflection's on the left hand side of the building's glass, keep in mind that these building's are next to other tall glass covered structure's and as such will have highlight's even on their darker side's ...just fewer of them.

I rather like the shape of the overall structure, very simple in form with nice clean cut line's.

If you have a problem with the fact that I edited your pic just say the word and it's gone.

Blue_Ninja_Frog - October 28, 2005 08:47 AM (GMT)
no i like it! thanks...ill update mine later with your advice and see how it comes out. Hmm...im willing to make a pixelville if i get the houses and stuff...it might look really cool!

Blue_Ninja_Frog - October 28, 2005 03:12 PM (GMT)

Just fix the angle of the roof and your fine.

teej - October 30, 2005 08:55 PM (GMT)
the perspective is not really isometric....

but there are games that are using that kind of view.

it's the original popular Ultima games
back from its early stages.

Your piece just gave me an idea for an isohouse shaped like one of the old "happy meal" boxes from McDonalds.

Guest - November 6, 2005 04:27 PM (GMT)
Hi, im new to pixel art and isometrics and this helped a bit... i made a weird building thing, there are the stairs going to the roof and a door on far right... the boxes are just me testing out doing the shading and things...

Please no, those pixelcity's and pixeltown ideas are so lame, it's not original.
My opinion.
