Title: Cloud

Dark Rogue - October 1, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
Didn't take that long, didn't spend a lot of time on it. But,

---------------------------------------------------------------------

A cloud has a roundish shape, depending on what type of cloud. Every cloud's different. =)

(We've used the CIRCLE tool to make the round shape.)

(Got rid of the circle lines.)

NOTE : Clouds are slightly condensed water vapor. Water has a high specular(It's basically what MAKES specular) so, the cloud would be light on one part, and a fair bit of contrast for the shadow. Of course, this depends on how thick the cloud is. If it's thin, then the light would pass through it, only giving a bit of light blue-ish shading on the bottom. Otherwise, like a thick thunderstorm cloud, or even just a big thick one, it'd be pretty dark on the bottom.

(Added basic shading.)

(Gotten rid of outlines)

(Added AA, meh-ness texture, some reflected light, and we have a cloud.)

I dont know aeon, it just seems like your clouds are about to cause a storm.

I recommend either making the bg transparent or darkening it, because it's pretty hard to make it out with an outline, DR.

That looks MUCH better. Nice job.

Chessmasterriley - October 11, 2006 05:49 PM (GMT)
It looks almost too cartoony...

Just a tip, take the darker shades and dot them around the cloud, more heavily at the bottom and stronger at the top. dark outlines can help to define depth also.
