Title: ~ future Moi dix Mois Album ~
Count_Dracula - November 9, 2006 12:58 AM (GMT)
Mana-sama has stated that he will be releasing a new album sometime next year,so I was wondering what would you expect from the new album?
What would you like or imagine the new album to be like?
ManaVampire - November 9, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
I think it will be a lot more "fierce" with the twin guitar sounds and the direction the band is moving for techniques. I'm wondering if the new songs will be a lot more focused on band sound rather than harpischord like Lamentful Miss. If so, I think we'll have a lot of pleased people, and quite a few upset (older) fans.
Either way, I'm looking forward to what we have to look forward to. I personally like both images of Moi dix Mois, but I am currently really liking Mana's new approaches to his music. Its a fresh sound, and I always think change is good...otherwise if you stick with the same old thing, people will loose interesting.
Manic Macabre - November 10, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
omg! awesome! a new album! must......buy.....new album......XD I'm looking forward to it. and since its gonna be a twin-guitar sound, this should be quite cool! I hope it features plenty of trademark symphonic sounds.......
Count_Dracula - November 10, 2006 10:08 PM (GMT)
yes,I am also looking forward to the new album!
But at the same time I would prefer it with less death metal and more classical...or if Mana could balance both together then that would be perfect! B) \m/
Manic Macabre - November 12, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
same here! I hope Mana can balance the two sounds as well! I love the symphonic sounds in Nocturnal Opera and I love the death metal sounds in Beyond the Gate. I have'nt heard Dix Infernal yet.......but yeah. I was kinda dissapointed that Beyond the Gate didn't have as much classical sounds than it did in his previous album. but it is cool that he experimented with a different sound.
MarionetteMana - January 13, 2007 09:43 AM (GMT)
Okay. Since I think this would be the right place to post this...
"DIXANADU"
Wtf.
Scape has infected everyone.

ah, I see. I'm sure it may not be the name though. usually the names of the albums are, well, different. usually somewhere along the lines of english. XD
Aeronniell - January 17, 2007 04:11 PM (GMT)
Dixanadu is indeed the name of the new album, which will be released on March the 28th this year. Only a few months away! :D:D:D
Take a look!*runs around over-exited*
(I didn't post a new topic since this one was about the coming album anyway)
Miyako - January 17, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
Wow, that's great information, I can't wait :) Simply wonderful! And I'm glad that it would be full album. I expect beautiful composition in Mana style. Of course I wanna see some new inventions. I'm sure that through that year he worked hard.
ManaVampire - January 17, 2007 05:16 PM (GMT)
Yay!! I read about it in the M+A news letter when I woke up this morning, but I hadn't seen the website yet. Thanks! Now I wish they'd put it up for sale because I want to buy it already!!
Miyako - January 17, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
So sad that we must wait... But it's so exciting
SakuraGenki - January 18, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)

ManaVampire - January 18, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)

Izumi - January 18, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
Not being funny... but CDJapan said it was 12 track (subject to change) - He'd better stick to that... I'd want more... more!! more!! More Moi Dix Mois!
I wish there was a thing as a never ending Moi Dix Mois album... that would be pure bliss!
but for now... Dixanadu will fuel my excitement for the next few months!!!!!!
Manic Macabre - January 18, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
aw damn it all, I have to save my money for my Mana cosplay......if I didn't, I'd order it.........I want Dixanadu! I want Dixanadu!! I WANT DIXANADU!!! *starts crying* XD
xit - January 19, 2007 08:26 AM (GMT)

Yeah, that would be end of our souls *happy* if there was a thing which never ending M10M album :P But even 12 tracks would be better, cuz Beyond The Gate was mini and it was definitely sad
Izumi - January 19, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
I loved Beyond The Gate... mind you I did have the special Edition, and I can see why people would have gotten mad about spending quite a bit for the regular edition one... But even those who complained about the music... what were they on?
Aeronniell - January 19, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
ARGH! I just spent my last money on the Invite to Immortality DVD!!
I think I'll wait till it's availabe for preorder on midi:nette then..
I'll be broke for at least two weeks anyways.. *sighs and curses my makeup-shopping this month*
Miyako - January 19, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
Izumi - that's right. Beyond The Gate is awsome, even if it's not full album. You know, I wasn't angry about that, I was sooo insatiable (but instrumentals on the special edition were also like... hmm.. like new compositions, maybe you know what I mean :)) Now I can't wait when I'll listen Dixanadu. I'm so excited  I hope it would be fantastic stuff
ManaVampire - January 19, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
I can understand where you're coming from, Miyako.(^^) Change is something that needs getting used to...even for Mana's music. Although, I thoroughly enjoyed both Beyond the Gate and Lamentful Miss, theres been so much controversy over Mana's newer music...which to me is kind of sad. I think people are just used to Mana relying heavily on his harpischord and classical sound, that now that hes breaking off into more of his own thing most people don't really know how to react, or they're slightly disappointed.
I can understand that completely myself. It somewhat saddens me that he can't stay to that, but if he did eventually all his music would start sounding exactly the same and that would be no good. I think at the same time I'm really happy hes progressing onto other things as well...it just gives the band more character and variety.
I for one am EXTREMELY interested to hear what will be on DIXANADU..if it will be even more of a progressive sound to what Mana's trying to do exactly, if it will be more experimentation, or exactly what it will sound like....I really want to know!!!
Izumi - January 19, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)
Well if Dixanadu is going to sound like anything along the lines of Lamentful Miss and the rearrangements... I can tell you this now... I wont be disappointed...
I loved everything about the 2 Cds he put out in 2006... As long as this new one got the Mananess in sound I will be very happy...
And Mana better think of a new DVD soon!
Manic Macabre - January 19, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
well, I have the limited edition of Beyond the Gate, and its pretty good. but I was kinda dissapointed after a while when I started missing the symphonics. so far my favourite off it is "Deflower". omg, I really wanna get Dixanadu so badly!! I hope Mana combined the best of the two this time. (death metal and symphonics)
Izumi - January 21, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
Sorry if its painfully obvious and my own stupidity is royally shining through but... What am I missing? Why is everyone on about the title of Moi Dix Mois latest album?
ManaVampire - January 22, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
Because it just doesn't seem as eleborate and thought out as Mana's last CDs...its just...not very original to me. XD; I'm sure it will be a WONDERFUL album though...I didn't like the title "Beyond the Gate" that much either, but the music definately made up for that. I guess stuff like "Nocturnal Opera" and "Dix Infernal" makes you think of Mana and his world, but these new titles were mostly ripped off of other things and given a different meaning behind them, or just changing up ONE thing from the real name to make it sound like Moi dix Mois. Beyond the Gate was ripped off from a video game, and DIXANADU is ripped off from the chinese poem, Xanadu.
xit - January 22, 2007 08:35 AM (GMT)
Didn't even know there was a game called Beyond the Gate, regarding Dixanadu I more thought of the movie by the name. :P
Mourning Masamune - January 22, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
I thought of the song by Olivia Newton John.
But that's probably just me.

That would be so funny... I thought I had weird musical tastes but what a line up of musical interests for Mana... Bach, Slayer, Motley Crue, Myleene Farmer, and Olivia Newton John...
Keep Weirdly Rockin' Mana!!
MarionetteMana - January 22, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
When I hear Dixanadu, I still picture a Dix Matin video game.
Manic Macabre - January 22, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
I really wish I could see a picture of Dixanadu........and I'm glad they updated MdM's official site already. I was getting sick of seeing Beyond the Gate being advertised as their newest release on the front page. XD
Izumi - January 23, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
Sorry... It's getting late where I am and I'm reminiscing...
Wasn't it awesome to find out that theres an album being released soon?
I received an E-mail from CDJapan saying about it... I was so happy when I read it.
I just wanted to remind people of that awesome feeling!
Miyako - January 23, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
Yes, it was awsome. My first words : "Oh my! Finally! *cries*". Ouu, and running to the calendar
ManaVampire - January 23, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
My first feelings were a mix between "OH SHIT. NO MANA NO. I HAVE TO SAVE UP MONEY TO LIVE IN JAPAN THIS SUMMER AND YOU'RE MAKING ME LOSE MORE THAN I SAVE!" and "OMGGG!! NEW MOI DIX MOIS ALBUM! I'M SO EXCITED!! I WANT TO HEAR IT NOW!"
XD
Aeronniell - January 23, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
Now I totally imagine Mana dancing and twirling around his house while listening to Olivia Newton John..
I don't have any doubts whatsoever about the new album. Mana hasn't put out anything that's been less than great in my ears so far. :D
Miyako - January 23, 2007 09:53 PM (GMT)
Here is a cosmic and dark power around Dixanadu xD
