Had a small vacation in the beginning of September in Tallinn, Estonia by myself.
I just needed it, don't ask why. Suffice to say is that I really enjoyed it. 8D
Liked the city, liked the food, liked the hotel (except the view, sure I got a room with city view, but the view was of a back alley in the city), liked everything. :)

This place was utterly confusing. Lots of modern buildings for shops. Got lost so many times in search for a shop that did not exist!!


The zoo ... was rather a disappointment. Wrong day to visit, the animals were hiding. XD

It's actually quite a bit like Århus here in Denmark. XD
Just bigger, and the old town has a way more touristy feel to it than any part of Århus.

We got the old houses, we got the cobblestones, we got the malls.
But ... Tallinn was new to me, so I loved it. ^_^

If I weren't petrified of the sea, I'd go on a Baltic cruise. Though those are really expensive. More expensive than Med or Carribean ones (here in UK anyway... I don't get that though... :/) :(

I really want to go!!! All the Baltic countries look so beautiful and seeped in history <33

And Denmark (and all the other vikings in Norway and Sweden) used to invade all the others. XD

I can't quite remember if I've been to Århus or not (I tend to forget where I am at times lol). But I know I have visited some older parts of... well, somewhere in Denmark. :rolleyes:
I love old towns. When I'm out visiting one, I get in this certain mood. It is just so peacefull, at least most of the time. It's almost blissfull. Last October, me and my dad went to Prague. We lived in an older district, and we had a great time looking around. I ate goulash for the first time, and it was delicious! :D Then I bought an aviator helmet in the bigger and newer part of the town x3

Tallin! I've been there.. uhm.. like.. 3 times? Very nice and beautiful city. And the old town, oh, I just love it. A cruise takes only a few hours from Helsinki to Tallin and it doesn't cost so much. (Helsinki is the capital of Finland, if someone doesn't know : D) So that's why a cruise to Tallin is so popular in Finland and almost everyone in Finland have visited there : D If you guys like old towns and Tallin, I know a place. Kuressaare is on the island of Saaremaa. It belongs to Estonia and it's situated a little bit to west from Estonia. I've been there and the town is so cute, but so is the whole island of Saaremaa :)

I actually went to Helsinki on one of the days there. :P

Like almost all Finns, I've also visited Estonia several times.. The sweet almonds they sell on the streets are delicious! :)
