Title: Anyone here have a Jeune Fille
Description: Either the ESP, or Edwards model

Okay, so my brother wants his Les Paul back.

Understandable, it was his first guitar. He has said I can keep it until I get my own instrument. But would like it back by the end of the year.

So now I am sure you can tell where this is going:)

I was thinking of getting the EDWARDS E-JF-X, which is essentially the license built replica of the actual Jeune fille. Aside from the body being a different wood, it sounds like it is exactly like Mana's first of this series (no flashy light, and a floyd rose bridge, same pickup) It appears on the ESP site.

This is more about it for those curious

"The replica of the jeune fille X, called E-JF-X, is released under the Edwards brand. This guitar was created achieving a minimum of differences from the ESP model. Therefore it is equipped with the same sound pickup and the same tremolo-system. If you need an inexpensive guitar with an extremely unusual appearance and powerful sound, the E-JF-X will be a good choice."

First off, it is much more affordable than the ESP. ($1600.00),

My question though is about the shape of the guitar itself. For anyone that has an example of one of these (either the Genuine, or Replica), how is it like to handle. It has an odd shape, and I was wondering if this is one that can be rested on one's leg as it is played, or is it easier to play standing.

Any problems with playability?

I would like to get a genuine ESP, but, there is no way in hell I could get one for the price they want. I just like the unusual shape of the JF, it is trippy looking, but not too trippy looking (aka, Prince's guitar, YEEEEESH). So when I saw that ESP has a branch company that makes a "replica" of the genuine model, I was like *drool*.

No THIS. *A*

Pythos, I don't believe anyone here has a Jeune Fille model guitar, but I do see the economy version pop up every once in a while on eBay. It's usually sells for a little over $1k I believe, so it's not cheap eventhough it is the less expensive model.

I don't know if she's a member here (but I guess she is) but the girl that cosplays Mana and have this website http://nightworld3.com ~ Has one

I think she got it at ESP stand in Japan and got it signed TwT ~ isn't that purely fantastic (and I am jealous even though I just don't play guitar at all XD)

but the Jeune-Fille Bronze X is *amazing* ~ the "shiver" look of the guitar makes me WEEEEEE ~ :K: (I'll never stop to use these emoticons everywhere. They're so cool XD)

Yea, I got in contact with her through You tube.

She say her friends that actually play guitar (she does not, well, not yet), say they really like it. So that helps me with my descision to get the Edwards model. I think it is basically a bare bones JF-X, without the light, and the newer tremolo (wammy bar).

Yea, hers is signed, that is so cool to have. But that darned thing itself is really nice looking, and unusual, which makes it a bonus any way you look at it.
