Title: Buying the Albums
Pythos - May 30, 2009 04:26 AM (GMT)
So I was looking on Amazon for Mdm albums, and found three that were currently available. Then I noticed the newest one Dixanadu has been "discontinued by the manufacturer" I find this most disturbing, I was not aware such a thing happened.
Is this just Amazon screwing up, or are albums no longer get to the US?
If this is the case, is there a place I can buy MP3s of all the albums, including MM albums, which Amazon is charging nearly $80.00. Which is rather steep to say the least.
Any idea what the cancellation of a brand new album is all about? Anything on the fan site?
Also, is the fan site worth joining at this stage? I am interested.

I don't know where you can get legal mp3s (I don't like paying for data unless it's an online game and can't be helped) but you can get the cds from
cdjapan.
As for Mon+Amour, there were some issues a few months ago but it's back to normal now (except for the online translations). In my opinion it's still worth it to join if you are a fan. Since the online translations haven't been updated yet I suggest you pay the extra for platinum membership if you can afford it. Then you will get real Madousho. Even with the recent problems I am still a happy and proud member. We have a thread for Mon+Amour related questions here:
Mon+Amour Question. If you have further questions about the fan club you can post them there :D .
Hope it helps.

Hmmm, no online translations. Well aside from the pics, I would find it useless since I can't read Japanese.
Darn.

The older ones are still available though. And "hidden" previous versions ;)
They're probably going to post the translations eventually *fingers crossed*

I am more and more encountering Cds being out of print. What is really disturbing is Dixanu being unavailable for the most part. It was only released less than two months ago.
Is M+M going under or something. I was directed by members here to go to Cd Japan, and I am finding the same thing.
Anyone else as disturbed by this as I?

Well, this is just great.
I just received my copy of Dix Infernal. I noticed something odd about the spin of it straight off. Instead of Black with Metalic writing matching the cover of the booklet, it is instead white with black lettering.
It is also from MIYA Records NOT Midi:Nette. The quality is very good, the booklet is complete and of good quality, and the CD played fine. However, I was still bugged by that spine glaring out as it sat adjacent to my M+N copy of Nocturnal Romance.
So I punched in the name Miya records, and guess what. A Taiwanese Bootleg.
So now what do I do? It seems M+N is having problems, and Triscol is dropping the ball. I have come across several "out of print" notations when it comes to Mdm.
I would like to do the right thing and inform both Amazon, and M+N about this, but at the same time I don't want to lose this copy seeing how every title seems to be going out of print.
Kinda stuck here. Any advice?

I don't know what you could do about the bootleg. Did you order it form Amazon?
If you want to be sure you get the real thing Dix Infernal is still available from CdJapan (as most regular edition CDs).
They even have is in stock. Here's the
link.

Yea, I got it from Amazon. What I am going to do is keep the bootleg, and when I get the money get the official copy through CD japan.
What kind of luck do you get with them, I have never had a problem with Amazon, hopefully the same will not be with Beyond the Gate, and Dixandu.
As silly as it sounds I have little problem with bootlegs of major names like Ozzy, or metallica (though all mine are official), But in M+N's case it is a little different considering how relatively tiny Mana's label compared to powerhouses here in the states. I wanna support it as best I can.

If it says Miya Records then it's definitely a bootleg.

Edit: I had to merge three topics that were all discussing the same matter.
Before starting a new thread, make sure there isn't already one about the same subject and don't start new threads for different ideas that are all related to the same topic.
If you want to create a topic and are unsure if has previously been discussed or in what existing thread it should be added, feel free to contact a mod or the admin.

My mistake about the release for Dixandu was because of this on the Amazon site.
# Audio CD (March 24, 2009)
# Original Release Date: May 4, 2007
They made it seem it got reprinted in 2009. So that is why I found it curious that it got discontinued by the manufacturer.
I think my problems are a result of info found on Amazon, a site up till now has been accurate. It might just be because of the music being from Japan.
