Title: Sending Mana Mail

No, this isn't another question of "HOW DO I SEND MANA MAIL?"
This is actually just a thread to inform you guys of the problems some of my friends and I have had with sending Mana mail and a question to all of you about the same thing (if you have sent Mana mail in the past)

In the past I have sent Mana a large variety of packages and letters/cards though the mail, and I've been noticing a chain reaction of sorts.

The first time I actually sent Mana something through the mail was back a few years ago when I won his sea-monkeys. He requested I send him a journal of everything I did along with pictures, and so I sent that through the mail.
Everything went fine and nothing was returned, so I assume it all made it there safely.

However, a while after that (I don't remember if it was a couple months or a year after because its been so long now), many of us who were members of the forums at this particular time all grouped together and made a birthday card to Mana. Since I had the address at hand, I put the card together and mailed it off.

Several months later (in the winter) the card was returned to me. I was upset but I thought "Maybe Midi: Nette or Mana switched addresses".

After that I never used that address I had again.

However, later on I had sent ONLY a card with a picture (meaning it was simply in letter format in the mail, not a package) to the current address Midi: Nette uses. This time nothing was returned.

After that I never really sent anything except for one time when Mana wrote in Mon+Amour he was missing one of his favorite CDs, I mailed it to him and this must have made it safely because it was never returned. But then after that, I have mailed other things to Mana using the SAME mailing address and gotten items returned to me as "unclaimed" a number of times.

I've learned its not just me who has this problem either. Some of my other friends have sent Mana gifts through the mail and they were returned to them unclaimed-- they also used the same address I did. The most recent item I sent Mana through the mail was at Christmas time and last week I also got it back unclaimed. I recently sent Mana a birthday gift (rather large package) through the mail right before his birthday and I have the sneaking suspicion it will also be returned to me probably in the summer as "unclaimed".

So the question is -- if you have sent Mana a PACKAGE in the mail (not just a letter or card), has it ever been returned to you? I feel like Mana may be only taking items he really wants and just making the post office return the rest due to the fact he might have to pay taxes on items and he doesn't want to pay taxes on things he didn't ask for.

I don't know if thats completely true or not, so don't take my word for it, but thats sort of the pattern I've noticed. I just wanted to let everyone know of mine and some of my friend's delimas with sending Mana packages so you can be careful with what you send. You could end up spending a lot of money to get one package shipped only to have it returned back to you.

Also, if you have had a similar experience with getting anything returned back after trying to send it off to Mana/Moi dix Mois, please post about it!

Perhaps they don't accept larger parcels in fear of retards who think its funny to send nail bombs...

Ok that too specific but, yeah they might not accept large parcels...

I believe Mana gets a lot of random things from fans he doesn't like, so it is normal he doesn't take them. If i were Mana i would do the same thing.

It is just my opinion but i think before sending something to Mana, fans should think if he really needs it :smirk:

Personally I feel like fan mail is fan mail, and just about any remotely famous person is going to receive packages/mail from fans -- its just a fact of life.

This post wasn't particularly about who should send what, it was more of a public announcement to be careful how you spend your money when sending fan mail to someone, specifically Mana in this case. Besides, how should every single fan know exactly what Mana wants and what he will accept and what he wont? If there are regulations on what fans should send then perhaps it should be posted specifically on the Moi dix Mois website, Mana's official site and in the Mon+Amour emails, as all of these websites specifically provide an address for people to send fan mail to Mana. Pardon me for being ignorant on the fact that I don't know what he NEEDS and what he doesn't. I've felt like the fan mails I have sent him have either had significant meaning to them or they were things I thought he would enjoy.
