Always spend Christmas with my mom at home. Nothing fancy.
The word Christmas though, is a bit misleading since our Christmas in Denmark doesn't really have anything to do with Christ, that was just a stupid idea by the church.
Calling it Yule would be way better.

For new year I'll, again, celebrate it at home. Probably enjoy it with a nice steak. Say "happy new year" at midnight, and that's that.
Again, nothing fancy. No fireworks, no drinking, no meaningless nonsense.

Maddy: A new year resolution is basically you vowing that you're going to do something in the new year. Like for example "I'm going to stop drinking!", "I'm going to stop smoking!", "I'm going to stop &¤%/%&/ swearing", and other silly things that'll last a few hours or so. :P

xit, I really like your honesty. Not many people are willing to admit they don't care joining in rejoicing they feel nothing about.

I used to love Christmas as a little girl when it was still a Christian event and not a purely commercial one and most of all I loved going to Midnight mass with my brother and father (my mother hardly ever went to church). It began at midnight then and the atmosphere was very special and in those days winters were very cold and snowy. It makes me sad now because people are not happy or kind anymore, and my dad is dead. I just pretend for the sake of my sister's kids (we spend Christmas together at my mother's) because they're still small and have every right to be happy and carefree, but if it were not for them I'd do nothing much.

New Year is at my home and we just drink champagne at midnight and have a nice meal on New Year's Day.

I could cancel christmas this year. I have nothing to celebrate, and nothing in the New Year can cheer me up. Unless they find a cure for cancer.

I'm spending my a part of my end of the year/Christmas at Oni-con next week. XDD
I'm thinking of dressing up as Santa Mana from Dis Inferno last year for the lulz, but we'll see.

Other than that, I always go to church Christmas eve night and then I'll probably go home and open gifts with my family.
Christmas day is usually a whole lot of nothing and somewhere around that time I'm supposed to go visit my dad's side of the family.
The day after Christmas I'm going to an old friend's wedding, which I'm actually excited about. :D

New Years will either be nothing or I'll try to find someone to spend it with and fail at that. XD

For some reason I'm either blind or dumb because I'm not seeing the topic. D:
That way I can merge the two topics together. :3

Thanks!

Well anyway, everyone can post new year resolutions here as well if you wish. :3

Mine probably sounds stupid, but I want to study Japanese every day, even if its a little bit. I'm getting at a more advanced point now, but the only teacher I can find is myself, so I'm pushing myself to do anything I can to understand as much Japanese as possible.

lips_blood_red - January 8, 2009 03:36 AM (GMT)
so i saw this thread a bit late ne?

ok, in christmas i satayed home with my sister ans a friend of us, we eat vegetarian hamburgers and Natto XDD and we played guitar and bass almost all night taking advantage of the complete ausence of neighborrs!! :D then we watched horror movies in a sort of "pijama party" in the living room until we fell asleep.

The new year, i spend it with my mum's family in my granma house as every year, i usually hate these moments cause it's full of bad feelings and hypocrisy from each others, also, usually some cousins and uncles drink too much and start fighting with others and stuff... but this time it was nice! i really enjoy it! maybe the reason is that most of my relatives didn't drink so it was peacefull and quiet. Also, as i'm always "the weirdo" of the family in past years they used to criticize me too much but this time they all was amused by my fashion style! that was seriously cute for me! they were like "OMG! you look great! what kind of fashion it is?"

if i hadn't mention before, i'm getting more and more into visual kei style and i was wearing what me and my friends used to call "casual kei" which we always think it's normal for us but we still attract lots of gazes in the street (people in here sometimes think we are foreigners and pics us! XDDDD) so i think it might not be that normal XD

about resolutions... i heve loads!

*my priority is starting my japanese lessons in the japanese embassy so they could get me a grant to continue my studies for six months more in Japan (i hpoe it could be over the Dis Inferno VII so i could be there!)

*finishing with succed my social service in clon, i'm managing to get an exclusive interview with BLOOD, GPKISM and Dj Sissen for CLON, so they will be here for the blood's final tour in january 28, i have a few contacts and as vk is not competitive here it may be possible, so if they let me i will do a quick interview with them :D that gets me nervous! i hope that gets into reality!

*the past years i started designing my own clothing and accesories and as i saw i has succed with them and my sister and my friends told me i should sell them! it's too much early to say i would sell them cause i have not much things and i have not much time to start doing the things for everyone else, also... hehehe, i'm sorta selfish and i love wearing things nobody else do. My resolution is getting better in my designs, btw, they're all kind of vk and gothic lolita accesories and clothing!

*about the design, i want to begin stuffed dolls and toys (?) design, as i've seen there is only one girl that do it here and her work is not that perfect and there are people that buy her stuff, i just think i can do it better.

*my Garnet Mana cosplay for jan 29, i have made the dress by myself and i love the way it looks! it's almost finished! this time i think my cosplay will get better than the others that sorta ashames me

*starting my vk project v-art, i'm getting better everyday in my guitar skills, well, i need buying my electric guitar first... but i have now one prospect for the vocals. Thank god i have the support of the whole vk mexican comunity and other vk mexican bands which also supported each others XD

*finishing my novel, traduce it to english and send it to Mana! XDDD

*and my ovbious and most urgent resolution, getting a real stable job to get money soon! mmm... i will leave psychology aside to make my real dreams become reality but i'm happy i finished my studies cause i can join CLON which make me think i could be more than a divan psycholigist and that i could do whatever i want to, and now i can get a better job than if i shouldn't study anything.

yeh, i think that's all XDDD too much work for 2009!
