this may just be me but i dont think its very sweet, elegant or cute to kill a rabbit just for a coat. this has rather upset me to tell the truth and dose put me off buying moitie.

As far as I can remember it actually said in the description that it was fake fur.
Then again I haven't seen that coat for sale for a very long time.

When you look at the materials, you see it's all synthetic materials. I don't think they use real fur...
Or at least, I HOPE not. That would immediately kick Moitié off of my favourite brands list.

I'm kinda disappointed that it's not real fur. For that price I'd want the real deal.

I'd rather pay a lot for fake fur, than real fur. Why pay for people killing innocent animals, just because 'the fur is pretty'?
The price is just so high because it's a limited edition. And because Moitié is expensive in general.

all opinions aside, i think for the price it makes sense that it's real fur. i know that moitie clothes are expensive, but $700 is alot ever for mana. so i'd say it makes sense that it would be real rabbit fur.

Real fur feels nicer and more luxurious than the fake stuff(seriously rabbit fur is so lovey) and I've always found real fur easier to look after. I'd rather pay more for it on the basis that it is a lovely material.

It is a lot of money, yes. But keep in mind that the velvet coat was also 73,000 yen. Not much less than the 'fur' coat. I believe it's not real fur, but just good quality fake fur.

I will not start an argument about wearing fur or not... because it probably won't get me anywhere.
It can make me terribly angry though...

There are some companies that will only use the rabbit's fur after it dies of natural causes.

Back on topic, I'm not a fan of real fur either because of animal cruelty and that I wouldn't wear it too much (afraid I'd ruin it by accident).

I saw a coat a while back that was made of faux fur and I swore it was real. It was so soft and nicely made. <33

With all the money that goes into the fashion industry, you would think many companies should work on making more realistic fur...

i really hope Mana don't use real fur, even if the prices are enough proof that is real fur...that wloud give me one more reason to don't buy moities (to hate them, to tell the truth, i can't understand that an artist could be so insensitive...)

Besides that I think it's like synthetic leather versus real leather. The real leather is just so much better quality than the synthetic.
At least I haven't seen anything that disproves this theory. :P

Just like other have already said, it would make sense to be real fur for that price...although, I highly doubt its not. I've never heard of Moitie using real animal fur before and there are other items Moitie has made using fur as well. Besides, Moitie is a very small shop within the fashion industry and they really only appeal to a small select group of people. I honestly can't imagine them seriously using real rabbit fur to make coats and such. It just seems too high fashion for most lolita styles, Moitie included.

i hope Sarah's right, it make sense, i think fur is too much for lolita, even if Moities and other lolita brands are expensive because of the materials, but i think that most of lolita users are teenagers or people that can't afford too much money to get fur.

(It's so hard for me to be objective and talk about fur as one more "material"...)

I really doubt that it is real fur.
Also for example, Moitié doesn't have real leather shoes either and they are still very expensive.
And just like others have said I also think that the coat is expensive, just because it is limited edition. Not that it would have real fur.

that also means... if Mana don't even uses leather for Moitie shoes and leather in shoes is a "regular" material, i think he would never use rabbit or any other animal fur for clothings :D
