Description: would you wear Moitie to your first day?

Moi-Dix-Jasdero - September 10, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
So i reeeally want to wear something lolita to the first day of classes to SCAD atlanta..the only thing is the only TRUE EGL item i have is my Moitie JSK. I really want to wear it...but i am scared of it getting to hot/uncomfy/dirty seeing it would be the first day and don't colleges usually do something weird on the first day?

What do you all suggest to wear?
Most people are saying just to wear some jeans..but i don't really do jeans.
I could also do aristocrat....That would be cool...hrm what to do??

BTW....i just dyed my hair again....even brighter red X3

I'd say wear something comfortable. Including comfy shoes. :)
If it's anything like over here, you risk walking all over the place getting hot and bothered...

I personally wouldn't recommend it. Depends what your doing there really.

I am studing art so the though tof getting paint/ink/etc on my brand wear.....no.

Not a jeans person myself either but I'll submit till, i have more off brand i don't mind runing.

If I were you I'd wait for the second week. Nobody really remembers what you wear the first few days, cos their all concerned with their own clothes. Thats my take anyway.

I wear Moitie every day to school... XDDD
HOWEVER, even though I do, my policy is that I always wear more toned down items on the first few days of school (at least until I begin to get used to each class atmosphere). My first day I wore a long white EGA blouse and EGA button up pants. Its a comfortable outfit, light weight, and I don't consider it something that would really draw major amounts of attention compared to EGL or some of my other EGA outfits. Personally, I think it depends on the person and what you have... Cut sews always seem like safe choices for the first day as do more simple casual lolita or aristocrat outfits. You could go full out EGL the first day, but thats not something I would personally recommend. To each their own, though! I know a girl who does go to school every day in full sweet lolita attire, even on the first days. ^_^

I all honesty i would totally do that! The only thing is i don't have that much Moitie. Unfortunately for me they don't make much in my size. I couldn't dream of wearing the pants...the blouses sleeves are all too short T-T' *damn being tall*

I will post pics when monday comes along seeing that is when my first class is ^w^

BTW Maddey-chan I think i am going to start making Moitie Pant replicas, if you could take some good detailed pics of the pants that would be AWESOME!!! <3

HORROR STORY TIME!!!!

On the last day of my senior year, I wore a hardcore sweet lolita outfit.
It was a baby pink blouse and skirt with ruffles and white lace, socks, headress...
I even wore shinny platform mary janes....

My stupid boyfriend wouldn't help me with my books (My homeroom teacher bought me the Tokyo Look Book for my grad-gift and it includes pics of Mana--I screamed with happiness hehe) and I fumbled my (6) books while going down the stairs....

I nailed my shin on the bottom step and got a leg contusion...at least no one was around to see it happen ^_^ It was the mother effing platforms!!!

I had to spend my 18th b-day in the emergency room because of it :(

Be carefull when wearing lolita in stressful places!!!!

I dress loli to go to work every day except when I'm wearing my Moi dix Mois tour t-shirt (and I work in an office for a security company so it doesn't fit at all) but when I was still doing art in college I was goth and I always ended up with white stains on my clothes cause of the plaster in sculpting class. X(

i think my best mess up was when i got white acrylic paint all over the tops if these black shoes id only got the day before and it would not shift at all. it was like the first day back at college as well.

porcelainmaiden - September 20, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
My worst mess ups were....

-at my birthday celebration at school, I got Pepsi on my aristocrat cuffs x_x
-got acrylic paint on my $400 leather jacket :tears:

Izumi - September 20, 2008 12:08 PM (GMT)
I'd never wear expensive clothes to uni.
I do art so I'd be horrified if i destroyed any of my lolita clothes. I'm really clumsy so... no XD

vampixie - September 20, 2008 02:33 PM (GMT)
acrylic paint is the purest form of evil.
