Is it true that Mana knows english fairly well or does he get help from interpretors?

I don't really know how much he knows to be honest, but I believe he knows it fairly well. How else would he be able to create all those english lyrics in his songs (which he writes all by himself)?

I'm sure he does speak some english, exept there are some errors when it comes to his english lyrics. But oh well. No one's perfect .( and Mana is no exeption. :P don't kill me! )

I believe Mana speaks very good English. Perhaps not perfect but still, he's very good at it.

i don't think he speaks english very often (^^) he just understands it :P

Probably why there's some errors when he writes it. But you have to admit, that he's still pretty good at it! ^_^

Well one would assume if he lives in Japan he wouldn't speak it often there, but I'm sure he has taken the time out (other than grade school) to learn things he does know now and he could probably apply it quite well if he really needed to.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Since he seems to use it often. I thought maybe he knew at least a bit. Which I think is awesome!

I think I once read he actually prefers French over English.

French is a beautiful language though, too bad I can't remember much. Haven't had a use for it in years.

I have only two years in French so I understand a little bit which helps when I'm reading some of what Mana has written in his music. *nods*

I have now 1.5 year French, so I can also understand a bit, but I have such a stupid teacher (that type of fitnessbitch -.-'') ... she makes my french hours very x.x

Mana speaks a little French too!
I remember him specifically saying a couple years ago in one of the Madoushos that during his first or second appearance in France in Moi dix Mois, he said he tried to speak French with one of the French event organizers and staff.

Was it successful or did he really mess up in his speech?

I'm sure it wasn't too bad. A lot of people know at least a few words in french. Lucky for him it was in France since most people are used the the French accent. If it was here in Quebec, it might have been a problem because our accent is very different.

If I remember correctly Mana-sama speaks excellent english (Listen to Color Me Blood Red by Malice Mizer, you can hear some english whispers. If I remember right that is Mana, seeing as it was a duet for Mana and...I forgot the other guy)

Mana does know french. I once read that after an interview in france he said "merci" or something like that.

The Japanese peoples have inital trouble phonetically pronouncing Germanic vowels, consonant and general grammar, he may know some of the French language but it may come out strange so he may not speak it very often, imho.

I've never really looked at the translations for Front et Baiser....what does the title mean anyway?
