I've never done cosplay... the only thing I did once was to imitate Közi's makeup from an Eve of Destiny photoshoot, because I had it as my avatar and people kept asking whether it was me, so I thought it might be fun to try the makeup and see if I could do it... XD

My friends and I have decided on cosplaying as Moi dix Mois, I myself being Mana since I'm the one who got them addicted to the band in the first place, and since I'm the one who suggested it. One of my friends is going to cosplay as K and lately she's obsessed with Mana X K yaoi. It's quite funny actually.

mmm a K cosplayer. I've always wanted someone to cosplay K with me when I'm Mana. XD

For Halloween she's planning on having 2 Gothic Lolitas hanging on to her arms. Either that or try to glomp me continuously.

oh, lol. I didn't look at the date you posted that responce and thought it was back during halloween. XD hmm, my advice would be to go look at a resale shop for jackets that are similar that you could modify. You never know what you'll find there.

meh, its ok. my nana said we're gonna wait 'till spring to buy a good jacket that'll be good for modifying. i'm sure Value Village will have some good clothes too. ^_^

Oh my. I just recieved word that the first Jrock con ever will be held in Norway the 10th of March. Of course,I have to cosplay Mana for this one.
But I am honestly freaking out about costume.
Could anyone tell me which costume would be the easiest to do in such short time?
Unless I have it made for me, I will have to modify some piece of clothing myself.

Thats kool! We've had a jrock convention California for a few years now, but supposedly its not a very good one. XD They just get a bunch of no name bands (and I think one was from China even) and pretty much do nothing else. :/ I haven't heard too many good reports about our Jrock con. I hope the one you go to will be a lot of fun!

The only convenrion I can go to is TOMO-DACHI down in Londonderry.
I know the people who run it so I KNOW that they couldn't afford an indies level band, let alone any other bands. *sigh*

Mini-Con in Tulsa was okay in terms that there was alot of nothing.........

I went to it last year with my now ex-girlfriend and i did not see one damn Mana cosplayer.......and there was not a band but there was karioke (or whoever you spell it) and nobody would dare to sing anything in Japanese.....i remember one girl was singing along to a BLACK SABBATH song a it was realy bad.

I plan to dress up in my EGA and going to the con in Houston in Feb. ....D is gonna be the band playing or at least that is what i heard....I love D. :lol:

well at the convention I went to there was a Mana cosplayer a few years back. Gardenia Mana actually. and this year a girl wants to put together a group of 4 people to dress like Mana, Klaha, Kozi and Yu~ki from Beast of Blood and perform it on stage.

The convention in Feb. is Ikkicon, which is in Austin, not Houston. XD Just to let you know, its going to be a REALLY crappy convention. I'm really good friends with the heard of the dealers room...he was going to have me be in charge of the Jrock panel, but theres been a lot of complications between my friends and I with the administrative staff of the convention so I'm not going anymore...basically, I feel like they're just a bunch of kids with enough money to throw a small convention, NOTHING seems organized. :/ My friends and I were communicating with the band Celestia Le Ciel, and they were planning on playing at that convention, but the head of the convention was acting like an idiot, picked a fight with my friend who was managing them, and now there wont be ANY jrockers there. T_T;

But, if you're going, have fun. XD That would have been cool if we would have met up, but seeing as things are going between my friends and I and the staff at that convention, I want nothing to do with them.(^^)v Maybe you'll come to Anime Matsuri (which is in Houston) and we could meet up there! 8D

I just might go to the one in Houston if my ex goes......she is my convention going buddy if though i hate her.

I am, and proud of it! 8D We have so much Japanese stuff, jrock fans, and conventions over here that I can easily say that if I can't live in Japan right now, this is perfectly fine. XD

I know this topic hasn't been touched in awhile but I thought I would show my cosplay outfit. I am only wearing converse shoes since my deck was wet at the time and I really wanted to have my picture taken. Also my friend Dana has a habit of stealing my boots at the wrong times. I know there are a lot of details I am missing but I am slowly working on them. I think having the outfit is a start though. Any thoughts or comments would be great.

Mana can look smexy in any kind of footware, so no worries. ^_^

I am just updating on my cosplay outfit. I have everything I need for this outfit. The only thing I am missing is the cross ring. It was something I overlooked and didn't realize it till 2 days ago. I have everything else though. I am not wearing my wig till I can figure out how to hide my long hair in it. I am also wearing the shoes but I did this picture on the timer and it is hard to take full body shots with just the timer. The headdres I have on is a Moi-Meme-Moitie headdress. I wanted to have something of Moi-Meme-Moitie to be in my cosplay and so I got the headdress. I hope my cosplay is good. Even though I didn't make any of the stuff, I worked really hard to earn the money to buy everything. I hope I did a good job for my first cosplay.
