Title: Color Contact Lens

iSynth - May 20, 2008 03:35 PM (GMT)
I have dark greenish eyes. They are fairly dark, but it depends on the light because sometimes they are lighter. I have never tried colored contacts before but I want to get some that are Mana colored. Does anyone know where to find some that would completely cover my darker eyes and make them look pale blue? (I don't want a marilyn manson white/blue, but i don't want deep/dark blue either. I want it to be a vivid bright aqua blue) Preferably US site only, and somethig safe (I'm putting it in my eye, after all!!) And cheap (I'm poor and i don't have health insurance so no prescription kind)

Thanks :D

Such contact lenses are very popular here, in Europe and their price is around 50-60 dolars. I've never tried them, but i think i will! I would like to have some very pale blue/green lenses that would make my look more horrible xD. Not like Marilyn Manson, but... I have seen that there are also blue lenses, so it would be interesting to buy them too!

I have gray contact lenses that are quite cool but they are not meant to look natural, more like fx lenses. I got them there: Vampfangs

You could also try an optometrist but it might be a bit more expensive. I used to have another pair of gray lenses that I got from an optometrist and they looked more natural.

I've looked EVERYWHERE for really light blue contacts like Mana's but I have yet to find them anywhere. I think his might be custom made. (T_T)v
Anyway, There are several online stores that carry aqua blue like you were talking about, but they're going to be much darker than Mana's style contacts (although I think they're still pretty).

I bought some aqua blue contacts at an anime conventon once for my Mana cosplay, they were non prescription and I believe they were about $50. It depends on the style you get, but since you're looking for a natural blue they're going to be cheaper anyway. Also, when I wore those contacts they felt very strange in my eyes and they fell out in the middle of a concert. I think they were way too big for me, so I suggest checking out the size you need first because contacts can serve as useless and be very irritating to the eyes if you have the wrong size.

I don't know any particular websites for colored contacts, but I'm sure if you searched around using google you can find some good companies.

They have really light, but not too light lenses. But i don't think that it's worth for you to buy contact lenses from Lithuania xD. You can find them in US to xD. but it is just an example.

The last time I saw an eyedoctor... was when they had it at my school when I was like, in first grade!!! I have really good eyes, though, so I've never needed glasses or contacts so I've never actually worn contacts.

My only concern is that, remember a few years ago there were stories in the news about contact lenses (the cheap costume kind) scratching the lense on peoples eyes or causing infections.

Well you always have to be careful with contact lenses. Even the real ones can cause infections and ulcers so you have to take good care of them and take them off as soon as they feel a bit uncomfortable.
