Title: Moitie from the MaruiOne Website

ManaVampire - May 12, 2008 10:42 PM (GMT)
I wanted to show you guys my blouse I just received in the mail today from Moitie, but I also wanted to write about a little more than that since I ordered from the new MaruiOne Moitie website. So here is my little review about ordering Moitie from MaruiOne.jp.

I ordered my outfit on May 6 and got confirmation of my ordered only a few minutes after I ordered my blouse. Shortly after on May 8 my item was shipped out.

I just received my item today and everything was in perfect condition! I also received a lot of free items from MaruiOne that they put in the box with my blouse. Here are some pictures:

The box comes sealed with special MaruiOne packing tape and cute stickers on it!

I opened the box and these are the first items I saw:

Big MaruiOne stickers, Brochures of Japanese fashion featured at MaruiOne, and cell phone charms.

These are the cell phone charms up close. They're so cute!!

and then finally my Moitie blouse:

and then just for the sake of cam whoring, extremely half assed "Mana make-up". Not really meant to be perfect or anything, just for fun, so its not up to the standards of my usual. If you haven't noticed already, its kinda like my little ritual after I receive a new article of Moitie clothes. XDD

The blouse came in wrinkly like that, but MaruiOne packed everything nice and neat, so theres really no complaint about their packing and shipping of my item, just that this shirt seems to wrinkle VERY easy so I'm going to have to iron it a lot.

Another thing that was nice about MaruiOne was they sent me instructions for washing my clothes. Its in Japanese and English so its pretty useful and it tells you what all the symbols mean.

I'm really happy with shopping from MaruiOne and I think in the future I'd MUCH rather buy from them than CDJapan! They're really fast, they send you really nice freebies, and their shipping prices are a little bit cheaper than CDJapan. I recommend shopping from them! :D

Thanx for that info! That cell phone charm is really pretty too! With moons and stars... make me want it....

ManaVampire - May 12, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
It also has a cross on it too! :D

Might I ask if they mark items at full value or as a gift? I want to order from there but I normally have to save up for the customs bill as well.

Aw your so pretty!!! I love the blouse, too! So is this site better than CD Japan? Does it get the seal of approval?

ManaVampire - May 13, 2008 01:39 AM (GMT)
sweet_decadence> I don't think they did. My mom hid the customs slip somewhere, so when she gets home I'll ask to look at it and if it says it was marked as a present I'll let you know!

iSynth> Thanks! Yes, MaruiOne is way better than CDJapan. I ordered some Moitie pants on CDJapan the day after I ordered that blouse and I STILL haven't heard word about my pants and when they'll be shipped out. I need them soon too, so I hope they're going to send them before too long. (>_<)v

That's one good looking blouse, and it looks really good on you. :)

AngelaAshford06 - May 13, 2008 10:30 AM (GMT)
God, it looks so wonderful on you!

Thanks for the review, I'm sure I will purchase from them in the future! ;)

I was trying to picture the blouse on me, and it looked like the sleeves would be too short for me. Well, I can always get a commission from F+F so I know I'll have a replica that fits (The blouse is beautiful, but I think $250 was a little high for it. :( ). :)

My thoughts exactly.

Except minus the "seeing" him part.

But come on... those things are all like under 35" around the chest... WTF?! Who is that skinny besides little Japanese fan girls and American preschoolers?!

35" aint that small either.....
its about... US 8... i think...
Its a shame that the brand lolita clothes are not widely size ranged
but I think just the general stereotyping is rude

A SIZE ZERO IS SMALL BY ANYONES STANDARDS

Don't be exclusionary. I'm a big person talking, and on top of that I'm a guy living in the fattest country in the world. It's common knowledge that Western figures are larger than Japanese figures. It's also common knowledge that kindergardners are small. As a fat American I am saying that the sizing is limited because I sure as hell am NOT a size zero in womens... no where near :smirk:

I am very happy that all of you are able to embrace and wear Moitie, but as a fellow fan I feel excluded because I happen to be larger.

P.S. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or bitchy... I really am bummed because I always asumed the measurements were more... broad.

sweet_decadence - May 13, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
Your post is near inncoherant for me.

Moitie isn't size 0 I fit into size 2 moitie fine and I'm 34"bust 24" waist
Most of the people who wear moitie would be more in the medium range. However this isn't a discussiopn about size 0 so I don't know why you've brought it up. Japanese lolita/aristo clothes are made quite small but insanely.

Izumi - May 13, 2008 03:47 PM (GMT)
If it bothers you that much that you cant fit... why dont you try to loose weight?
Its way better than waiting for Moi meme Moitie and the like to get a wider range of sizes...
Its beneficial to your health as a whole and it would puts you in a better frame of mind about yourself. Its not hard.

I agree with all of this. I lost weight to fit into Moitie and I don't regert doing it in the slightest. It's also boosted my self confidence quite a bit.

I have to do it now. I have to go to the gym. Not because im over weight cos im far from it. Its mainly to do with my mental health i have to go, but, my medication i was on had a side effect of weight gain.
i know its going to be inevitable that i'll loose weight, but i just mainly want to regain my body shape and to see if exercise will boost my mood, cos i have a mood disorder. I talked to my local doctor and my psychiatrist and they both said that it will do me much more than being on the medicine. so fingers crossed!!

And i wana buy a moitie skirt... so a little toning here and there cant hurt ne? :)

I did it. I lost about 65 pounds to fit Moitié and it wasn't hard at all. I don't wear a size 0 (usually it's around 5) and I don't look like a pre-schooler either. The only thing I can't change is my height (but then again I'm not "that" tall).

xit - May 13, 2008 04:41 PM (GMT)
I too think they're too small. Haven't seen any EGA which I could fit.

And I don't need to loose weight anymore. Already lost some 70 pounds.
But I'm still some 44" around the chest area (that's just how I'm built).

Though it doesn't help I'm 6'4" tall. :P

I can understand that it IS unfair for people who are naturally broader built.
If they are going to branch out and sell to other countries then yes I agree that they should address that issue.

But if you think you could fit if you were slimmer, then at least give weight loss a try. I'm not saying go overboard with it, just do it gradually.

I feel bad now because i seem all for skinny people. I'm Sorry x
X(

It just winds me up a lot with the whole "obesity epidemic" that our health authorities constantly bombard us with. And I've had a lot of grief from bigger girls when i was in school over my weight.

xit - May 13, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
Don't be sorry, no need to. :)

Anyhoo, even if I lost more weight it wouldn't do a thing for me, I'd still be 44" around the chest. :P
Only got a few pounds left on the stomach, and that's that.

Ok I know of
http://www.fanplusfriend.com
They have replicas from most lolita brands and will take commisions

And this place used to
http://www.glbible.com/
They seem to be doing different brand replicas every season now, so keep an eye out last month I saw an Aristo blouse, an op and many many replica accesories.

Thank you. You see, I've been thinking that for quite some time, but I was afraid of being burned at the stake by angry fangirls for spouting blashphemy about their idol. xD

Anyway, blouse looks great, and it's nice to hear that Marui has good service. :)

Yup! Even without breast you need a small ribcage to fit into those...

lips_blood_red - May 14, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
oh...i think i'm going to have a big problem with moi meme moities...

i have really big breasts...and moi meme moities blouses are all under the 85 cm or less, and i'm in 95cm!!!!! :o :o

that's so sad.... :/ and that's why i dind't look cute in a goth lolita clothing cause i look instead like a some sort of porn star... :anger: (thanx society to make beauty canones that makes me look like a whore just because i have a...voluptuos body <_< )

wtf does Mana thinks?? that women does NOT have breasts??? that makes me feel very anger!!!! what am i supossed to do if i want to buy an awesome blouse like that of Sarah? surgery to reduce my breast??? he's mad, he should think about the rest of the people that wants to buy his clothing, after all he could win most money if he do that....

i feel so much exclude because of something like that, i love MMMs, but i love my body too and won't change it in anyway to fit in these ludicrous beauty canones of having a children body :anger: (even if we're talking about lolita clothing)... so i think xit and i synth was right with all they just said, it's stupid someone ( :mana: ) restrict his clothing only for girls who has small sizes.., that's some sort of discrimination...

so sad Mana, you do things like this...

PuppetCircus - May 14, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
^Mana lives in Japan. Moitie is a Japanese brand. Japanese women are typically petite with small busts. There's not a high demand for larger sizes there, since it is a mostly homogeneous society. It is also a fairly small company and making sizes that are not in high demand would be a risky undertaking for them.
So don't get so worked up over it.
Also, they occasionally make fully shirred dresses that will stretch to accommodate a large range of sizes. Shirring is a busty person's best friend in the world of lolita.

Super sweet blouse! Thanks for posting your review of MaruiOne! I was just recently considering buying from their site, but wasn't too sure if I trusted it. I love freeeeeebies!!

Esuna - May 14, 2008 04:12 AM (GMT)
I remember a dress I used to wear on Halloween before I turned darker in nature. It was pink. I used to fit in it great, but I was also rather pre-adolescent. A few years later I couldn't fit in it anymore, and thought maybe I had gotten fat because the zipper couldn't go up all the way anymore. Upon looking at my back in the mirror I found the real reason. My ribcage was what was too big. My bones were stopping the zipper. T_T I remembered doctors telling my father that his lungs were larger than the average person's and I thought that maybe I inherited it from him. Larger lungs = larger ribcage, right? I cursed my ribcage that day. I kinda let it go now, since I don't really wear dresses anymore anyway, let alone pink... *shudder*

yeah, i'm agree with you, but we ALL know that MMM has expanded to the rest of the world so Mana knows it and he should think about it, but now i see he just forgot it as he did with M+A...that makes me really sad, cause i'm on size except for the bust...and it's a really big difference so i'm not sure if shirring works good...i wish i could met someone that has big breasts and use MMM...or i could bandage my breasts over my chest...but it still could be like 88cm.... T_T and my ribcage it's big too...so what can i do??? my problem doesn not fix if i lost weith or size cause there are no grease in my boobs...well i'm not a medician but i think so  anyway who could ever give me a diet to lose my size of bust...that's ridiculous!!!  i just want 'my ladies' get into a MMM without breaking it!!!!
