Title: Aside from Lp's

I've heard that Mana has done covers of Slayer. Being a Slayer fan, i wouldn't mind hearing that at all. I noticed Mana also likes to remix his songs. Okay, my beef with that is if Mana wants to release remixes, don't put them on an album to take up room. He did that with Dixanadu, which urked me. My opinion is that if Mana wants to do remixes, he should release an EP. Not only that, but it would be amazing if he covered other bands. Just think....he does a song from another band that you like. It would totally blow my mind. He should just break the whole " Single, Album, Dvd, single, Album, single" pattern and try something new. ......of course this is just my opinion. I still love him.

I'm still waiting on him to cover Aqua.

I've heard he's done cover at some live events, apparently once he covered The Ramones (who are they?). With Mana being a Slayer fan as well it's quite likely. I'd really like to hear those as well in they exsist.

And I agree with you on Dixanadu. While I loved the songs it annoyed me a little that he did that.

I'd love to hear them do covers of children's songs.

Im surprised that you haven't heard of the Ramones! They were a very popular "punk" group and still remembered (Kids in high school were always wearing their shirts.) Punk is totally not my thing, but since Mana said he was punk in high school, i guess it should be no surprise. But yeah, it would be cool it Mana covered "Nymphetamine" by Cradle of Filth, or something more complex.

But yeah, with Dixanadu, i was looking at the song list and im like" Oooh! A Lapis Nights Dream! I wonder what it sounds like?!" then i play it and im like".....oh." T_T
I think Mana should return to his roots a little. Im not to crazy with the " Fantasy land" concept, although the cover art is gorgeous. I just didn't get into it. Next he'll do an ancient Egyptian theme and K will be dressed like a mummy!!! :K2:

Yeah, the songs on Dixanadu were a bit of a hit or miss for me.

I was about to say "I want a mana cleopatra!!!" but it's been done.

I have heard of The Ramones but didn't have a clue who/what they were. I kinda thought it was a brand

un un un, totemo daisuki, DO-RA-E-MO-NNNN

I think they should put "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands" on a CD. They played that for Mana's birthday last year. XDD

hmm, but on a more serious note. Personally, I appreciate the remixes. At first I was a little negative about it, but once I actually heard the remixes I was happy with them for the most part.
Moi dix Mois usually does a lot of covers during Dis Inferno, but as for putting covers on a CD...I don't particularly see that as Mana's real style as far as Moi dix Mois goes. I see it as more of a fun, live event type thing.

Perhaps Moi dix Mois' remixes should be put on a different album, but then again I think he picks particular songs to remake that he wants to change up a little bit because the style Mana uses is always being altered. If you went to a live and heard a song that was completely off from the rest of the concert (by that I mean a song that was suited for the beginning of Moi dix Mois compared to now), it might seem a little strange or awkward. I think its nice to have a mix of old and new songs on Moi dix Mois albums because with older songs being remixed, we get a chance to listen to the changes Moi dix Mois has gone through the years. I guess because I've been a fan of MdM since the beginning, I appreciate listening to an older song again that have been remastered because it makes me realize how much Mana has progressed with his style and which way hes gone in. Sometimes I like it, and sometimes I don't. Of course, this is all just personal preference. I don't think I would really like to listen to a Moi dix Mois CD that was just full remixes...even though you could look forward to the changes of mechanics in the songs, thats ALL you could look forward to, nothing new at all...I don't think something like that would really sell very well. Its refreshing to hear something new with the old, in my opinion.

I see Moi dix Mois as a band that was made more for live shows than CD recordings, because I can get into the music much more at the performance than I can on the CD, although the CDs are still quite meaningful to me too.

What I think WOULD be an interesting idea for covers would be to put it on a live DVD rather than a CD. From everything I've heard about Dis Inferno, they really enjoy doing things like that and they go way out of the way for the covers they do, but its more for fun rather than what Moi dix Mois really is. I think all of those kinds of things put together would make an amazing video for those of us who can't attend those live shows.

Could be interesting with a cd only with remixes.
Fear Factory did it at one point, and it turned out quite well, sounded like an entire new album. :)

Wouldn't mind a few cover versions at the end of a MdM cd.
Might be fun if they ever tried a Christmas song. Imagine Jinge Bells Moi dix Mois style. :P
