Title: Midi:nette
Description: criteria

Hey everyone, this is my first time ever applying to a forum. I joined because I not only wanted to learn more about Mana but I also would like to know any information at all about the Midi:nette company. I've tried to search all over the web but sadly my comp doesn't process japanese. Even though I'm sure this topic has been covered a multitude of times, I would simply like any help whatsoever on information about Midi:nette (i.e. what is the criteria to apply/audition, etc.) Any information would be most appreciated.
Thanks again for your time,
nostalgia 937

you've been to the Midi: Nette website, right? Well since its in Japanese and I'd like to work there myself some day I've tried to look into it as well. Fortunately, my computer can translate Japanese so I was able to read a little about their criteria. Basically as for getting a job there I've only been able to find information on auditioning for a part (ie voice, instruments). If your looking for something like that the criteria is as follows:
-You must have an application/portfolio.
-Anyone underage must have a signed parents permission incase of any "unnecessary" lyrics.
-You may have a video of yourself (its not required) but you must have a demo tape and photos of yourself (head shot, full body, fully body twist, etc)
-Finally, it is ideal that you are a resident of Japan but I think they also would take people in from abroad as well..as Mana said, if he likes it he'll take it lol.
As for other kind of work there such as translators or anything like that...sadly, i have no info on that but I'm supposed to email them and find out more of their requirements. When I do, I'll be sure to share my responce. (^^)

thanks manavamp for the info. i cant wait to find out more info on m:n.
i've seen other forums say stuff like you have to live in Japan and other unofficial stuff. others said something like foreign bands can apply and stuff. i'm really interested in this as well
not to get all sappy/cheesy on this forum but the reason that I'm so intrigued with Mana and midi:nette is because Mana has become such a great sorce of inspiration for me, like i have a new purpose in life.
now that everythings covered in cheesiness
i bid farewell

haha you don't have to feel sappy about that around here. XD We've actually posted a thread that was COMPLETELY sappy like that...only about 10000 times worse because we kept on, so don't worry about that kind of thing, we all know how you feel. X3

Not too many people actually talk about his record lable. I would love to work there one day myself. Once again, thanks for all the info Sarah! :)

I hope Mana adds another band soon. That would be SO interesting.

It would be! I'm looking forward to seeing who that might be and if they are any good. (Which there is no doubt in my mind that they would be. ^_^)

Schwarz Stein and that's about it (of course that's aside from Malice Mizer and Moi dix Mois)
ManaVampire - September 27, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
^ Of course Schwarz Stein is broken up now, so currently just Moi dix Mois. (MALICE MIZER also worked under Midi: Nette in their beginning years along with after they dropped out of Columbia Japan once Gackt left due to another low point in their career)
There was supposed to be another band signing onto Midi: Nette from another record label, but Mana only mentioned it once without even naming the band and I kinda think they dropped out because there hasn't been word about it in several months.

In some german interview Mana said recently, he is working together with a singer and someone who plays cello. We will probably hear more about it in autumn :)
So lets wait who will be it ^__^
ManaVampire - September 27, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Oh, so he is still working with them! Good!
