Turkwise is just turquoise, i.e. a sort of blue-green colour. :)

Can't remember where we first came up with it though.
Can anybody else remember that? :unsure:

The whole Turkwise mania began in this topic (third page, first post by Angela). Turkwise turned out to be so awesome I came to the conclusion it needed its own thread and made it. It can be found here.

Turkwise was a joke from a Kool aid ad, that somebody had made Ymtd.com
it was meant to be turquiose but it was pronounced as "turkwise"

Angela found it hillarious, brought it to the forum... and well, it stemmed into being what it is today!

XD There's a whole Mana series, y'know? :D I've been playing Secret of Mana on an emulator a short while ago (should pick it up again, it was fun). It's probably the one where the secrets of Eternal Turkwise and Mana Treasure are first discovered. :lol:

I see Mana-sama seems to enjoy vampire imagery, is there any chance that he might actually have a thing for actual blood or is it all acting?

I'm curious because I am a vampire, I'm one of the .1% of the human population that can actually digest human blood without being sick and I've heard it's more common among type O blood people and Mana is type O, ne?

When it comes to the possibility of Mana drinking blood...I dunno... :blink:

My parent, grandmother and oncle have all O type. For me, I dont know. But i like the taste of blood. But not that I would like to drink it in liters, but i enjoy biting around on my lips ^^
But that is it.
I cant stand any other blood, like animal blood, bloody stakes or so. One day we had to dissect an eye and a heart of an animal in biology. That was realy ugly. I couldnt eat anything the whole day.

As for Mana, he is far from a Vampire in real life. Its mostly just an interest and theme of his, be it stories, movies, etc. Outside of those interests, hes really just a normal human being.

Mana gets grossed out by flounder so I really doubt he's vampire XDDD

Well hes even terrible at superstitious/stereotypical things about vampires... like how he loves Garlic and puts it in his foods and he really likes crosses too. XD I know thats probably not true about real life vampires, but still. He makes a bad vampire. XD

I hate being superstitious... Its not nice, especially when your brought up like it. You try so hard not to give in... But eventually you will XDD

and what a bummer... I hate garlic... my parents lace my food with it... cos if i even taste it slightly i refuse my food XD

well, the thing about those stereotypes is that they don't really amount to much. Being a vampire or having a liking for blood doesn't really mean one isn't a "normal" person, I mean, I'm not like into violence or anything and I'm really squeamish about people getting hurt, but I have a donor and it's just a part of who I am. I got it from my mother

Besides, I love garlic, sunshine and crosses, too, but I'm still a blood-drinker.

I love the time on weekendmornings, when my parents turn the player on, bach or strauss and realy loud, so that I always come down to listen and so they get me out of bed, and then there is always that that wonderful sunrise *.* <3

:D My parents did that too. I also remember waking up to the smell of homemade soup (my mom love to make soup when she wakes up on sunday mornings and it smells really good).

As far as the whole vampite subject, i agree with Sarah about the Mana not being a vampire.

And as far as me, i think i am type AB but do love deer blood (not that much into other blood) it tastes like chicken (to me), but i can drink an okay abount of it. I do not like to sunlight, eventhough my Native American blood prevents me from having a pearly colour to my skin. Garlic is okay. i have nothing against it.

Apparently my mom told me i am unusual with my blood type... we got 3 people in my family with an incredible rare blood group, im not one of them, but becuase they are in my family, they make our blood group different that most...

Nope, don't mind blood as well. Though I usually only drink it when I have cuts in my arms or hands, but I definitely don't dislike the taste.

never had deer blood, but I did once have mouse blood, it was accidental but nummy.

Abouts da Mana things: I suspect he's the type that licks his own cuts and enjoys it, but that's all. Besides, he's said he is and he's certainly comfortable with bloody imagery, can't we all just trust Mana-sama through his sea of blood?
