Title: Mod Application Information

ManaVampire - July 26, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
Due to the responses from everyone from the "Forum Restarting" thread, I've come to the conclusion (as I have actually wanted to do on my own for a while) that we are in need of a little back up.

I'd like to choose a moderator/moderators for the forums to help me out whenever I am not able to keep an eye on the forums and fix problems. Obviously I can't be around at all times, and as we gain more members we need more control over various things. These things don't always deal with people. They can be about spam bots (obviously), technical issues, forum decisions, etc.

You don't need amazing computer skills or anything to become a moderator, because these forums are particularly easy to use, and I can give you easy to follow tutorials on how to work out issues.

So how do you become a moderator?

After giving it much thought on the subject, I've realized that its too difficult of a choice for me to listen to each and every one of you say "well I would love to help out!" through a response to this post. Trust me, a lot of people would love to help out, and since we're quite a close group it feels a little overwhelming to have to sit there and choose one person over another for this job.

Having said that, if you are interested in the position of becoming a moderator on Mana-sama.net forums here are your instructions:

Send me an email as to why you would like to become a moderator, your interest level in the forums (Do you plan on being active and how active of a member are you currently? If you're new to the forums, obviously haven't been that active yet, and I understand that), and how will you present yourself as a representation of the forums. (Yes, people do judge forums by the way the administrative team acts and obviously the members too).

Please send all emails to: lolitadoll.mana@gmail.com
Title the email "Forum Moderation"

Please have all submissions by Friday August 3, 2007

I will not tell you exactly what I will be looking for, but please take in your best consideration and thoughts when you apply.

Note that by becoming a moderator this does not make ANYONE more powerful than the next person, nor does it make you a better Mana fan. Moderation is simply used to control the contents of the forums. You are gaining more responsibilities, thus you must take in a lot of things into unbiased consideration.

If I do not quite get all the information I am looking for through the emails (as a whole, it wouldn't be just because of your particular email), I will email you with a small series of questions, somewhat like an interview. If this type of email is necessary, you will personally be given a due date when I expect to receive these responses.

The Mod/Mods will be chosen carefully and announced before August 13, 2007 (thats when I go to Japan).

I hope to hear from many of you.
Best of luck on all your applications!!

Just a reminder:

All Applications are due August 3, thats THIS Friday.
After that, I will not accept your application, so please submit yours soon!
I've already gotten a few, so I'm starting to think about who I would like to work on the forums as a moderator.
If you're contemplating the idea, its always worth a try to submit something!(^^)

Also, since I failed to mention this before, please let me know what your user name on the forums is when you submit your application. I've had a few people not write who they were, so I had to go back and ask them what their user name was.
To make things easier so I don't have to like hunt you down if I want you, please add the name you go by on the forums. XD;

I hope everyone who has wanted to has turned in their application.

If not, you still have 4 more hours to get them in. After that the Application process is CLOSED and the winners will be decided upon!
