I was wondering if anyone knew a place where I can buy clothing (at least somewhat) similar to Moi-Même-Moitié clothing. Of course Mana-sama's designs are one of a kind and nothing beats the real thing, no doubt about it. It's just that it's not that easy to afford for everyone. So, if there's any place where more affordable and at least somewhat similar clothes can be bought, I'd love to hear. :)

hmm..thats really difficult not only because "nothing beats the real thing" but also because Moi-meme-Moitie is the only form of EGL you can possibly find so if you buy anything else similar it wont be considered EGL, just gothic lolita.

Either way, it kind of depends on what type of gothic lolita you're looking for (I know Moitie style, but Moitie has a lot of variations so it kind of depends on what style of Moitie type lolita or aristocrat you would be looking for). What I generally do is look at Closet Child. They're like a resale shop in Japan for Lolita and they also sell Moitie. You probably know about them already though. XD But the thing about them is they not only sell big brand name clothes, but also "indies" styles of lolita.

You could probably find something interesting in the indies styles and they might not cost so much, or you could also look through some ebay stores by typing in "Gothic Lolita" in ebay...I'm not too experienced with those options but I've heard that a lot of people on ebay create their own lolita type ebay shops with replicas of larger brand name clothes such as Moitie.(^^)

....Of course if you're looking for moitie, you wouldn't have to look up JUST gothic lolita...both of those places (closet child and ebay) have more aristocratish clothes too. I really like aristocratic clothes a lot more but some how I always find myself buying lolita. Strange. XD

Hmmm, maybe I should create a EGL/EGA clothing line! You know, to solve people's dilemmas when it comes to finding more Moitie-ish clothing. :P

Ooh, that's some nice sites there. Thanks! To be honest, I hadn't heard of Closet Child at all and I hadn't even considered ebay as I've never really been there. :unsure: In this area I am (again) a complete newbie, so I'm really glad (and grateful) you've posted those sites. :)

Hey, does Closet Child have a site in English, or perhaps in French, German, or whatever language I or someone I know can understand. I can understand some very basic words and read about a handful of kanji, but that's where my knowledge and control of the Japanese language ends. :( They got so much cool stuff there, but if I can't understand anything but the pics then I'm not much closer to buying anything.

And yeah, it is sad that the cross collar coat is sold out. It's such an awesome coat!

you could always make some clothes yourself, or at least try, with every edition of the G&LB you get a free dress patern, usualy its in pink, but you dont have to use pink cloth.
also you could try looking on www.ebay.com
you can get some mana sama custom made cosplay clothes of there and some MmM items. (but they cost a fortune!)

I've heard some very good things about them too. Supposedly their shipping is very fast and the quality of the clothes are very good, or at least as they are shown in the pictures.

It's the crazy thing but I found skirt like Mana's at one little town shop, and that skirt was very cheap :D . If you want to find something similar to Moi Meme Moitie clothing you must learn to search :P . And you will find :lol:

I saw a loli-looking skirt at Target (Yes, I know. XD) the other day for $40. Almost bought it too. :D
