No, actually, funny story. I have a deviantart account and I was posting pictures of my most recent Mana cosplay. I've pretty much given up on specifying my gender on DA particularly because people are dumb enough to NOT read that it said "female" and proceeded to ask me if I'm a boy. Eventually, I decided to take my gender off the website and see what happens. Apparently I now have some fangirls on there, and some of them think I'm a boy, so I let it be as is without saying a word just for laughs. XD

well, being a male Mana fan, I can't really say "Mana looks hot" without being given the "O_O" look. but I still say he looks pretty in EGL and handsome in EGA and people still stare. but I dont care. I know I'm wierd and I'm proud of it! :D being called "wierd" or anything in that category is a compliment to me. ^_^

I too think Mana looks pretty in EGL, and really handsome in EGA (would love go get my hands on some of the clothes :D).

Apart from that it hasn't really affected me.

Though one of my friends think Mana (and everyone from Malice Mizer) is bloody gay. :P

one of my friends has four amazing reasons *sarcasm* why Mana is gay:
1. He cross-dresses
2. His band has a French name
3. He likes Italian horror movies
4. He likes....CURRY!

Sorry for barging in on your guys thread, but I just HAD to say that half of those reasons are quite contrare to Japanese society. Curry is actually a very common dish just about everyone over there eats, and for a long time it was a fad in Japan to give your band French names...Japanese bands do it all the time and now some of them are branching out into other languages such as German and English, but I would say French is one of the most popular. Cross dressing is also something that is never even really thought of as gay over there; once again, another big fad because the younger generation is extremely liberal. Tell your friend to do his homework before he starts in with crap like that again. (:

I'd say it depends on where you come from, and how society there looks at such things.
Here in Denmark cross-dressing is also considered gay, and thus Mana-sama is naturally also gay (that is for narrow-minded people who can't see that doesn't count in other societies).
The French language people either consider the language of love, just gay, or bloody snobbish. :P


Curry and Italian horror movies are not considered gay. Can't really see how they could be considered gay.
But then again that's just how it is here. ;)

I mean, c'mon! its the 21st century! guys should be able to wear dresses and makeup if they want to and people shouldn't judge. its that person's choice after all and some ppl have to respect that. besides, Mana looks good in EGL. gotta give him that. :P

If any of my friends find out that I am a Mana fanboy and actually did some research on Mana.(ie google search) I would get stabbed... more than once... very painfull... seriously. But I just keep things like this to myself. Actually, if I was a female and any of my friends were to find out I'm a Mana fangirl... I would get stabbed... more than once... very painfull.... seriously. That's why I keep certain things to myself. <_< Certain people... will never understand.

A few of my friends don't really mind my Mana obsession, but I try not to obsess too much. :P

My friends are luckily understanding, as such, they accept my taste in music. Might think certain things about Mana-sama, but it won't get between us in anyway.

Well i am happy for you but the thing is for that i live in Oklahoma and I am constantly picked on and shit for carrying around a folder that has over 50 pics of Mana, lyrics, interviews, and a second hand account about what happened at the last 2006 concert (newly added) to school and i have even lost what i thought where good friends.

Me and my bandmates are the only fans of Mana in that damn town i live in (Muskogee).
