I have no clue.

I don't believe Mana wants to be seen as God at all.

He just wants to be "someone else" because he thinks this world is a sad place to be and he wants us to open our eyes and minds to dimensions that are "larger than life". The way he is always referring to his "world" is quite explicit.

He knows everything and everybody tends to become the same the world over and he insists on being himself, simply because he is a genuine artist i.e. different.

Also, we must never forget he can be as weirdly funny as he can be serious. Everything he does as an artist he does VERY seriously, but as a person I believe he loves to let his hair down whenever he can.

The hilarious thing about him is that his own fans fear him when they actually see him (he hardly needs a body guard because he's so impressive noboby would dare approach him!), and he sounds so friendly in interviews, when he's not being filmed, the transcriptions are full of (laughs) punctuating his answers or reactions to questions!

My belief is that he wants to give us everything as an artist, but keep his own life strictly private, which is quite a respectable choice, because he has a right to it and it enables him to create!! He claims his right to be left alone in spheres that are none of our business, and I approve and respect him for that.

So, no he's no god and doesn't wish he was!

Sorry if I sound rude, but I just get tired of people bringing back threads that died LONG ago.

But as a closing comment, Marianne, We all fully understand that Mana is not God and should be respected as an artist and person as he is. It was simply a joke, but it seems the link with the original joke is broken so its sort of pointless to try to argue it now.
