I always wondered why the wind from Kakuzu's Fuuton attacks never hurt Hidan, yet he was just flesh and bone and the explosive tags blew him up.

Wind element attacks cut and as hidan does not take persistant damage from such attacks, you know, wounds like stabbing etc heal after the object is removed. It is likely to assume that he took damage from wind attacks, but regenerated instanteous after that.
