Blizzard is already owned by Vivendi, so I think this is just Vivendi buying Activision and merging it with Blizzard.
Both companies are good with but two completely different types.
Anyway, I hope this doesn't ruin both companies.

Hoefully not, Wrath of The Lich King is gonna be awesome, whats more important is that his somehow doesn't give Blizzard an excuse to delay Starcraft 2. I mean c'mon we have like next-to-nothing info on the new Zerg units...

Vivendi is the majority stockholder in this merger, so I wouldn't really worry about them getting f---ed over by Activision.

I doubt the merger will really effect either companies games all that much to be honest. The corporate structure will be different, but the games probably won't be too affected.

The point with the "ruining WOLK" was that Activision and Neversoft made the tony hawk games right? Well Neversoft made Guitar Hero 3 average to none right? Well maybe Activision could screw up a good game too, I don't know. Of course, thats all theory based off personal opinion.
