SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!

Man, this was a GREAT book. I finished it the day it came out. The scene at the end, with Professor Snape, wow. Just, wow. I can't believe that's how it would end. Voldemort killing Snape and Snape giving his memories to Harry... That chapter was so sad. When we found out that Snape gave Harry the sword, and that his Patronus was a Doe, that was really emotional too. But not as emotional as the final scene in that chapter, revealing Snape going inside Grimmuald Place and finding the note and picture from Lily. When we found out that Snape was a good guy for real and that Dumbledore asked to be killed, I was so incredibly sad. Then how Harry faught Voldemort, killing him with an Expelliarimus (It rebounded the Avada Kedavra) and claiming the Elder Wand, so epic. This was definately the best Harry Potter book ever. I can't wait for the movie. Oh yeah, and Harry and Ginny get married. So do Ron and Hermione.

(We'll just assume the spoiler warning extends to the whole topic)

It was a great book. A fitting end to the series, and I do like how she left it somewhat open at the end. Nice and action-packed, it reads like a movie, but some of the subplots get a little cloistered and confusing, so i don't know how well it will translate to film.

Nonetheless, a very enjoyable book, minus that cloying epilogue. You can tell that was written a while ago. The prose there is much more comparable to the early entries in the series than to Deathly Hallows. Cheesy, waste of an epilogue, but I suppose we had to see the romantic ships set sail.

Other than that I have few complaints about the book, and I found Dumbeldore's backstory with Grindelwald absolutely fascinating. Made the character so much more human too me.

SMOS, yes it was sad. I would've never guessed that Snape was like that and Dumbledore asked to be killed and that crazy part is that Snapes Patrounus was the same as Lily Potters. That was a great indeed and I can't wait for the movie for it (I hope the movie is not a lot different then the book like most of the other movies :P)

I can't wait to see the battle in movie form, that will rock dudes.

Just finished the book 5 minutes ago(I read slower than most fans) and I found it pretty good, I thought she carried out the 'camping while finding the weird items'(forgot how to spell the weird names) a little too long. Other than that the book was great.

The book was great... Just hated the ending. I mean... hello? Albus Severus? That part was seriously stupid!
