Air Gear, I really liked it, though it is kinda sexual at some points.

Dumptruck - July 17, 2007 04:04 PM (GMT)
air gear: Itsuki "Ikki" Minami, is a student and a delinquent. Also known as the “Unbeatable Babyface,” Ikki is the leader of the youth gang by the name of “East Side Gunz.” Upon his return home after being humiliated by a street gang of Storm Riders called the Skull Saders, Ikki discovers a secret hidden from him by his benefactors, the Noyamano sisters. The sisters belong to a group of Storm Riders who go by the team name of Sleeping Forest. In the anime, learning the sisters' secret angers him and he steals a pair of Air Trecks, abbreviated as “AT”. (In the manga, the sisters give a pair of ATs to him and invite him to skate with them.) Ikki eventually settles his grudge with the Skull Saders, but in the process he receives more than the simple satisfaction of revenge. Determined to experience the sensation of “flight” for as long as he can, Ikki is quickly sucked into the mysterious, irresistible world of Air Trecks.

air gear is awesome, ive finished it.

ergo proxy:is a science fiction suspense anime television series, produced by Manglobe, which premiered across Japan on 25 February 2006 on the WOWOW satellite network. It is directed by Shukou Murase, with screenplay by Dai Satō et al. Ergo Proxy features a combination of 2D digital cell animation, 3D computer modeling and digital special effects. The series has some cyberpunk elements and focuses heavily on the psychology and mentality of its protagonists

ergo proxy is really wierd, deep stuff... nvr finished it but i got 3/4 done with it. it was friggin awesome too.

Bokusatsu tenshi dokuro-chan: is the title of a fiction series written by Masaki Okayu and illustrated by Torishimo centering around a young boy and an angel from the future who constantly gets him into trouble and kills him violently and repeatedly with a giant spiked club, only to resurrect him seconds later

lol, this one is just short and hilarious.

gunbuster 2: Nono is a clumsy waitress who dreams of becoming a space pilot. One day, she meets Lal'C Melk Mark, a member of the elite psychic pilot team "Topless". But when space monsters appear from out of nowhere to wreak havoc on Mars, Lal'C calls out her Buster Machine - codenamed "Dix-Neuf" - to subdue the threat. During a battle with a Space Monster, Lal'C gets the surprise of her life when she sees Nono use her super-strength to help Dix-Neuf destroy the alien. From that point, Nono hangs along with Lal'C in hopes of becoming a member of Topless.

a smidge corny, but very good nonetheless.

hellsing: vampires. zombies, ghouls, vampire hunting.... whats not to like? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellsing_(TV_series)

jyu oh sei: Thor and his twin brother, Rai, are cast off to a forsaken planet by unknown masked men after witnessing the suspicious death of their parents. Given only a beam knife and a smelly satchel, they wander together in search of civilization on the primarily plant based world. They soon discover the plants have the advantage. Only the strong survive; the ones who throw away their humanity and become the beasts humans once were.Thor and his twin brother, Rai, are cast off to a forsaken planet by unknown masked men after witnessing the suspicious death of their parents. good series, kept my interest the whole way long.

mai-otome: Arika Yumemiya has traveled far in search of her goal: the prestigious Gualderobe Academy. This is the school where young girls are trained to become Otomes, protectors of royal leaders throughout the lands. Here, Arika makes plenty of friends, but some enemies know something about her past that she does not. Nevertheless, her spirit and determination will keep pushing her forward. --- Adapted from its predecessor, Mai-HiME, this series is not a direct sequel, but an alternate universe setting featuring some of the Mai-HiME cast (though with different personalities).

i liked it alot, its got lesbians...YES!

black lagoon: Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman…in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc…only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. “Rock” (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc “Revy” as she thinks he’s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon.

good one, lotso action and tight, hardcore killers in this one.

ghost in the shell: in the future, life between the digital and physical world has been blurred. The boundary of technology and humanity has been stretched beyond imagination with lives being led in both the electronic and physical worlds. With the melding of man and machine – a new cybernetic level of existence is being created - An existence that continues to redefine mankind.

eureke seven : Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. Every day he dreamed of being with the mercenary "Light Finding Operation (LFO)" aircraft pilot group "Gekkostate" and riding "Trapar" particle waves-- a sport called "reffing"-- with their charismatic leader Holland, especially when faced with his father's acclaimed past or his grandfather's desire to protect him. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO", asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface-- the "Amita Drive"-- to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality.

Paranioa Agent:

A mysterious mugging happened in Tokyo. The victim was Sagi Tsukiko, the designer of the incredibly popular toy Maromi. Tsukiko’s testimony is that the attacker was a young boy on rollerblades swinging a bent golden bat but many suspected Tsukiko to have knocked herself out. The reason was that the attack came at a convenient time when her boss was pressuring her to come up with the next groundbreaking design.

Soon after, the next victims appear, all of them going through some sort of crisis in their lives and their testimonies always involve “Lil' Slugger (Or known as Shounen Bat in Japan)”, that young boy with the golden bat…

Who is this “Lil' Slugger”? Who's his next target?

SMOS - July 20, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
I agree with above posts. Try Paranoia Agent.

And you said don't, but REWATCH NGE.

It's worth it. If I can think of something else I will (I'm a little braindead right now).

Jounin Elite - July 20, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
No. It's not. I don't like it. Realize that, and I won't have to talk about how I don't like it ;p.

If I wanted giant robots in my anime, I'd watch gundam, and out of the few series I've seen of gundam, I only liked Gundam Wing. I've been meaning to see Seed and Seed Destiny, though.

Buso Renkin

The story begins when high school student Kazuki Muto is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up in his school dorm, believing it to be a dream. However, he soon finds out that dream wasn't a dream at all when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tokiko Tsumura, the girl he saved, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however she, feeling responsible for him, revived him by placing a Kakugane medal in his chest, serving as a replacement heart, or "New Life".

The Kakugane, as Tokiko explains, is an alchemical device that, when activated, takes a certain form based on the Kakugane user, forming a unique Buso Renkin. The Buso Renkin is the only thing that can destroy a homunculus monster. Using this, Kazuki creates his own Buso renkin, taking the form of a giant lance, later named 'Sunlight Heart'. Along with Tokiko and her own Buso renkin (the Valkyrie Skirt, an execution scythe), Kazuki joins the fight against the homunculi and their master.

And you can finish the entire series if you watch it for 13 hrs stright.

s-CRY-ed

Set several years after "The Great Uprising", a future geological phenomenon near Tokyo, people have developed a power granting them the ability to deconstruct, reshape, and crystalize matter at a molecular level using only thought and willpower. These people have come to be known as "Alter" users, and with only 1% of the newborn generations receiving such special power (though later in the series it is stated that the number has increased to 5% and steadily continuing to rise), some feel a superiority over normal humans.

There are two opposing forces of alters: the Native Alters, a group of Alter users who live outside the central city and avoid any relationships with the government; and HOLY, an organization of Alter users that are a subgroup of an organization called HOLD. HOLD functions as the Mainland government's super police force of the Lost Ground, while HOLY, composed exclusively of Alter users, serves as the 'special operations' group, aiding HOLD in performing dangerous missions that might require the help of an Alter user.

Also only 26 episodes. Is that a popular # of eps?

s-CRY-ed, Evengelion, Buso Renkin, all have 26 eps.

Jounin Elite - July 20, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)
You do realize there's an edit button, right? :P

I've already watched both of them, in fact, I know that I watched S-CRY-ed before you did, dunno about Busou Renkin, though I did watch it too.

I started watchnig Air Gear, it's great :D. I'm gonna try Paranoia Agent next for sure :P.

I read the first 12 chapters of that actually, I don't really like it much. It was ok, but the story was bad imo.

DUDE WATCH/READ HUNTER X HUNTER!!! NOA!!!!!! The first couple of eps might bore you like most anime but I'm telling you you'll love it especially if you like naruto.
Also another good anime is The Vision of Escawphlone I just started getting into it but its nice. And if your perverted very perverted i recommend Golden boy. Also Samurai X is pretty nice (Rurrouni Kenshin). Also lol i sound redundant cuz i keep editing but anyway Cased Close or detective Conan as the Japanese like to call it is also great. Its like Deathnote in a way but more suitable for children. Yes i just edited again for the 6th time...Yu Yu Hakasho is pretty good too, Kinda old but its nice.

But Hunter x Hunter ftw if you watch it i'l love you....well not really but watch it anyway XD

I haven't been able to watch any more Air Gear while I'm here, but yeah.

I saw the Hunter x Hunter preview in Shonen Jump before, I thought it was okay, and thought abouttrying it but never got to it :P.

I cant believe no one has recomended this anime yet! So now it is my job! Yay!!!

Ouran High School Host Club!!!!

My small summary: Haruhi has made it to Ouran on grades alone. But when she acidently breaks avast worth 80,000 dollars, she's pulled into the world of the 'Host Club'

Wikipedia's small summary: (or not so small summary)

Ouran High School Host Club is a story that takes place primarily at Ouran High School, an exclusive institution for students from incredibly wealthy and affluent families. One exception is scholarship student Haruhi Fujioka, a young student from a lower-middle class family. Because of the superlative cost of the school uniform, Haruhi resorts to wearing long slacks, polo shirts and a vest that resembles the male student's uniform with large glasses and tousled short hair. Therefore, upon entering school, Haruhi was assumed to be, by most, a male student.

Because the Ouran High School libraries are filled with gossiping students, Haruhi seeks out the Third Music Room, supposedly unused, as a quiet place to study. But Haruhi finds that this room has been taken over by the Host Club - a group of six attractive male students who spend their time charming and entertaining the school's girls for profit. During their first meeting, Haruhi is shocked at their behavior which causes her to accidentally knock over a very expensive vase valued at ¥8,000,000 ($80,000 in the English manga). This causes Haruhi to contract a massive debt with the Host Club. In order to pay off the large sum, Haruhi is employed as the club's "dog" and is constantly ordered to do menial tasks for the members such as serving food or cleaning up.

Once the club president, Tamaki Suou, sees how attractive Haruhi looks without glasses, Haruhi is promoted to be one of the hosts of the club as a way to pay off the huge debt. One by one, the other club members take notice, until even the club president finally discovers that Haruhi is, in fact, a female, with a self-proclaimed 'low threshold for gender identity'. However, since she has already been accepted by the club's customers and has become one of the main attractions, Haruhi is allowed to continue being a host provided she conceals the fact that she is a female. She is forced to stay until she has accumulated a total of 100 (later, 1000) customers, at which time her debt would be considered paid in full.

____________

This is my all time favorite anime and you should definatly check it out! You can find all the episodes on crunchyroll.com ^_^

Ryuzaki-san - September 17, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
^^^^

Ouran is a josei anime (meaning an anime for women). Unless Jounin is a female (I apoloigize in advance if I have your gender mixed up), I'm not too sure Ouran will cater to his interests.

Now, if you are into perverted humour.............

Mahou Sensei Negima

Negi Springfield is a mage who is currently training to become a magus in England. However, doing so requires that he teach a class of 31 high school students in Japan! Seems easy, right? Not when you're 10 years old....... As Negi begins teaching the rowdy class 2/3-A strange occurrances begin to befall Negi and his students. This sparks many a journey into the depths of the world of magic. While on the way, he gains the admiration (and love) of some of his students.

Licensed? Yes

# of episodes: 26 (first series), 2 OVAs, 26 (second series)

Genres: Action, Comedy, Romance, Ecchi, Magical Girl, Sci-Fi

Reccomendations: Always watch the subbed version of this show. The dub is very poor, even when compared to other dubs. Also, it is recommended that you watch the first series or read the manga first. There is a second series that is more of a spinoff, but it will make more sense if the first series is watched.

Licensed? Yes

# of episodes: 26 (first season), 24 (second season) (ongoing)

Genres: Drama, Horror, Mystery, Comedy, Psycological

Reccomendations: Definitely watch the subs. I recommend Hau~ or WinD fansubs (unless you intend on buying the DVD). This anime is one of the most creepy shows you will ever see. The very first arc is probably the most intense and it does a really good job of freaking you out. This is a must see for Elfen Lied fans.

Jounin Elite - September 18, 2007 12:41 AM (GMT)
I'm a guy, for the record. The anime I want to try next is Samurai Champloo, which for some reason I've never gotten to watching.

After that, I'll check Negima out, and then that second one. Never heard of it O.o.
