Hey, I know what the IF board project is, and I support it.
How ever, don't you think that if you moved away from IF, and learned more JS, that you all could make either:
1.) Better codes for IF/ZB
2.)Make awesome codes for IPB (in PHP).

Just my suggestion though.
Oh! And you could still use IPB 1.3, IF will give you the database, all you have to do is find a host with PHPMyAdmin.

Our counter part, 4Realhost which is owned by us is a web host company and offers MySQL/PHPMyAdmin along with other features.

Also, learning JavaScript may take some time. At the moment, we only acknowledge a little; which is keeping us going.
