blackjack - December 13, 2005 11:23 PM (GMT)
just a heads up but i hear .tk is really unstable with screwing up IF codes so they don't work and the hosting is slowly fuzzing and not performing well can always go to www.no-ip.com lol it works but only domain redirects you can use are www.yourname.no-ip.org or www.youname.no-ip.biz and www.youname.no-ip.info

JellX - January 1, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
Wow, I never used domains before. What do they actually do?

blackjack - January 1, 2006 04:26 AM (GMT)
basically they make you url shorter. Like .tk for example turns www.s14.invisionfree.com/IFboard into www.IFboard.tk. Or if you use no-ip.com (like my old clan) it turns out (using my clan as an example) www.jpk-clan.no-ip.org (pretty short huh :P)

Candor0, Your incorrect, That is the site where you register for styes.net. (You said styles.net, May be you got mixed up with styes, Because i belive there isn't a thing as styles, not sure.)

You can also get many other sub domains from there too, you just have to register on the site.

You can get no-ip.com alswell, it's got million sub-domains to chose from.

Not only is this from december of 2005, but I am incorrect. I know of sytes.net, and I've used it for my site before I bought my .com. I'm not a big no-ip fan, there was a styles.net domain available by a web site creating service, or something like styles.net, it was not sytes.net; Hence the name styles.net. The weird thing about them is that the registration was at a remote location, so I couldn't just go to the site to register it.

Also, it is sytes.net, not styes.net (sytes sounds like sites, clever I guess).

Alawe - June 15, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
Is it possible to have a sub-sub domain for IF?

Hauzer-Ninja - June 15, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)
Free Sub-Domain For InvisionFree?

eg. ifboard.sytes.net, yes you could hook that up to InvisionFree and it could be used as default. ;]

Alawe - June 16, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
No, I mean a sub sub domain.

Like del.icio.us.
