Title: Members Can Keep Posting
Alawe - April 18, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
I think there's a problem with the Spam Cleaner system.
Every time a topic is trashed, nothing happens to it's owner.
That means they can just post again, right?
Is it possible to add an automatic "ban user" feature to the multi-moderation?
P.S. The latest member's username is "drugstore"

Yes, but just because someone spams doesn't mean that they need to have their posting rights permanently taken away. So trashing the topic is wiser. Drugstore sounds like a bot name...

Hi Alawe,
These bots normally just spam one topic and then disappear again. If the staff feels the need to ban a user, we will gladly do so, but having it in the multi-moderation is not wise, as arcalypse said :)

You've got an good idea there, but, i wouldn't ban them just for spamming, i'd give them an warning but.. there only bots, they won't understand, i don't think.

I laughed so hard when I read that!
Anyways, yes. Bots are only on forums to make one topic (most of the time) then leave. And in that topic usually is a list of BB Coded links to places that sell perscriptions, medications, drugs, porn, etc... It is easy and simple to just trash the post and be on with our spam-free lives.
