Title: Music
Description: What you listing too?

Mr. K - September 28, 2005 06:53 PM (GMT)
Talk about Music ^^

I love Rock music and heavy Metal. My favourite bands are U2 and Metallica! But I'm fairly opened minded I even like Jpop like Dir en grey :)

Pink Plushie - September 29, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
I've been told I have a very eclectic taste in music. It ranges from choral and orchestral (including movie soundtracks) to rock and chilled dance. As such, I've never really had a favourite band. I like to listen to new bands, although there hasn't been much decent new stuff out for a while.

Sakano - October 1, 2005 11:02 AM (GMT)
My MP3 collections consists mainly of Rock and Metal music, the likes of Adema, System of a down, Rammstein, Tenacious D and Disturbed, but i do have others thrown in there like Muse and Placebo. I have a very random Anime OST collection, the one i listen to 99% of the time being Gravitation, but also have the likes of Naruto, Loveless and Hack Sign (the first anime OST i got). And of course i simply couldn't live without my Eiffel 65 albums, Their english album they released here in the UK wasn't great, but their Itallian albums sound fantastic.

Pink Plushie - October 2, 2005 01:47 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I love the Naruto soundtrack, too. Especially "Wind" the first closing theme.

Mr. K - October 2, 2005 03:33 PM (GMT)
Metal yes! I love Disturbed's "Down with the Sickness". Tenacious D haha awesome. I have some anime music and game music I listen to. Most Gravitaiton, Suikoden, Tales of Symphonia and Final Fantasy music ^^

Other bands I love are Die Trying, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera. I even love classics like Aerosmith, ACDC and 80's music too ^^

j-chan - October 2, 2005 11:53 PM (GMT)
I have WAY too much music. Over 700 files on each computer plus about 100 more I don't have on my playlists. It's anything from English to Iclandic. I've got English, Spanish, Icelandic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Romania, Italian, Sweedish, Russian ... and more I can't name. Waaay too much music. :P

Insane? Probably....

Sakano - October 3, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
I had way too much music also, i've just gone through my mp3 folder and deleted a huge load of crap that i don't even listen too anymore. I had a freaking Take That (anyone remember them?) album in there.

Tatsuha Uesugi - October 5, 2005 10:41 PM (GMT)
I too have eclectic tastes in music. I enjoy classic British Rock --Floyd, Queen, etc. I also like R&B and contemporary Rock. My holy trinity of music consists of Pink Floyd, P-Funk (ain't no party like a P-Funk party) and Steve Vai master of the power ballad. I'm currently listening to a rotation of:

The Descendants of Darkness Soundtrack (Yami no Matsuei)
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Soundtrack (Love those dark Danny Elfman waltzes)
The Best of David Bowie
SweetBack: Stage 2
Mint Condition (R&B)
and Horace Silver: Song for My Father (jazz)

I know, it's a leap.

--A

Mr. K - October 5, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
Ahh yes I totally forgot about Pink Floyd and I honour that band with a t-shirt shame lol
And my favourite Queen song is We will rock you..in light of its the tune played when my favourite hockey team plays.. Montreal Canadians!

Kyoey - October 6, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
XD Wow. I have such different tastes from most of you.

I like Senses Fail, Spineshank, Bleed the Dream, Gravesentd, Lakota, Lao, Watashi Wa, Yo Tokyo, Hawthorne Heights, The Academy Is..., Bright Eyes, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Green Day, The Sex Pistols [only have one song, though ... such a shame], Evanescence, Dashboard Confessional, 16 Hour Drive, Sum 41, Juliana Theory, Eminem, The Used, Blink-182, Hoobastank, Don't Look Down, Earshot, Mae, Armor for Sleep, Anberlin, Autopilot Off, Hidden In Plain View, Driven, Brand New, Snow Patrol, Fall Out Boy, Something Corporate, Unwritten Law, Yellowcard, Amber Pacific, Nickleback + Staind [yay 90s rock!], Sugarcult, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Thursday, Dredg, uhm... and many other American bands.

Although, I do have a large love!spot for Dir en Grey, hide, Gackt, Malice Mizer, X Japan, Kagrra, Two-Mix [GUNDAM WING <3], and all them. <3

I also like Russian techno/punk, and other foriegn rock/alternative/punk music-types. XD

This has been your Hiro's Favorite Music update of the ... forever?

Sakano - October 6, 2005 10:29 AM (GMT)
I've been listening to nothing but 'Disturbed' for the last couple of weeks, my ex sent me thier newest album and it totally kicks ass. Its very rare to find an album that you actually like ALL the songs on ^_^

hmmm i like my chemical romance also but only a couple of their songs, especially Helena and Thank you for the venom.

morbid romantic - October 11, 2005 04:56 AM (GMT)
Ooooh music. Can I talk about music? I'm gonna.

First off: Daisuke. Oooooh, Daisuke. I love everything he has done from Access to Iceman. I'm listening to Gate I right now, as a matter of fact. I also like Dir En Grey, Schwarz Stein, Malice Mizer, and Moi Dix Mois.

But, deep down... I am a gothic/industrial lover at heart.

I'll go old school with Sisters of Mercy, Mission Uk, and Bahaus. My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult is great, too. As is Skinny Puppy and some KMFDM. Cliche with Type O Negative and Nightwish. And then the more electronic/future/synth sound like in bands like Pop Will Eat Itself, Project Pitchfork, Front 242, Wumpscut, Apoptygma Berzerk, VNV Nation, and Assemblage 23.

PSDOL - December 8, 2005 12:52 PM (GMT)
well gravitation ,naruto, evascenaes and linkin park :notes: :cute:

Futch - December 10, 2005 12:27 PM (GMT)
I have a mixed interest. I like almost anything from 1995 and downward, I HATE modern pop/rock/metal/rap, ooooo how I hate rap, and country, I can't stand country. However, I love Japanese music, Love it to death, this inclues all the anime and game music I have, I also LOVE classical music and modern classical music, like Vanessa Mae, OMG SHE'S SO FRIGGIN AWSOME, but yes, I have a lot of different tastes than a lot of people. Like ABBA, not many people nowadays knows who they are, nor Kansas or Toto, or Boston.... *ohwell*

Sakano - December 10, 2005 12:40 PM (GMT)
I HATE pop music with a passion but i LOVE j-pop.........everyone at work thinks i'm a freaking weirdo because i'll only listen to Japanese pop music, but i try to point out to them that there is a difference between our shitty pop and their bouncy hyper happy pop.

Anything from Japan is better >_<

Futch - December 10, 2005 10:13 PM (GMT)
The difference is that they do not just sing about "oh he cheated on me... oh I'm going to mope about it" most of their songs have an indeph meaning that American (I don't say our, because it is not mine) pop does not have.

Wow ABBA ^^

*Sings*

Well I can dance with you honey
If you think it's funny
Does your mother know that you're out?
And I can chat with you baby
Flirt a little maybe
Does your mother know that you're out?

I LOVE THAT SONG :D

Futch - December 11, 2005 01:22 PM (GMT)
Yay someone who knows about ABBA!!!! *huggles*

Mr. K - December 18, 2005 07:20 PM (GMT)
Been writing a lot and this song has been very inspirational lately ^^ I thought I'd share it :D

Wait by Earshot

Something's wrong,
Trying to conquer these fears i thought were gone.
And it's been so long, I'm dying to live in a world i dont belong

I cant wait for someone to hear me,
And wait for someone to touch me.
And wait forever to be told,
I'm forever alone.

I cant wait for someone to feel me,
And wait for someone to heal me.
And wait forever to be told,
I'm forever alone..

On my own,
I'll show myself what it means to be alone.
And the tears i cry are washed away.
All the scars are my disguise.

I cant wait for someone to hear me,
And wait for someone to touch me.
And wait forever to be told,
I'm forever alone.

I cant wait for someone to feel me,
And wait for someone to heal me.
And wait forever to be told,
Im forever alone..

I'm forever alone.
I'm forever alone.
I'm forever alone.

I, I'm not waiting here this time.

I can't wait for someone to hear me.
And wait for someone to touch me
And wait forever to be told,
I'm forever alone.

I cant wait for someone to feel me
And wait for someone to heal me
And wait forever to be told
I'm forever alone.

Currently listening to Siam Shade. First heard 'em on an AMV, the song "Tears I Cried" (still my favorite song by them), but I haven't run into a song by them I don't like so far.

uchiha_tomoe - March 10, 2006 01:28 PM (GMT)
hey! i'm asking about ringtones... anywhere i can find gravitation ringtones for my mobile phone? thanks!

Sleepless Beauty - March 18, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
I love Nine Inch Nail too (Trent-sama!), Dir en grey, L'arc~en~ciel, Nittle Grasper and Bad Luck (heh), X-Japan and Gackt. And David Bowie.

Tatsuha Uesugi - March 18, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
All praise the Thin White Duke!

Ground Control to Major Tom...I think I see Gackt out here! That dude is wayyy out here....

Thanks to Yuki and this forum I recently discovered the joys of J-rock too and haven't looked back. Yay!

keriko - March 18, 2006 05:32 AM (GMT)
I agree with Tatsuha, its thanks to the awesome people on this board that i have discovered the glory of j-rockers, especially gackt. *swoon* I love Kinya Kiotani (the singer of Bad Luck songs) he's just so damn cute! *squeal*

I like MUSE, I first heard them in the states but really got into them while i was in the UK. I LOVE their newest album, Absolution.

Luke from France is a good rock band. I only dabble in French but I know enough to get the basic jist of the songs, their usually political, but the music is so good that I often like a song before I actually know what its about. ^_^

Just about the only music I don't like is hip/hop. ARG!! All the songs sound the same and the lyrics are such crap. I heard one the other day about laffy taffy, I know its a euphemism but seriously guys how many songs about shaking your ass does the world need?!

LustrousJade - March 23, 2006 06:16 AM (GMT)
I generally listen to rock and alternative music.
But I love M.Flo..Dopamine is the bestest!
I hate rnb, rap and the likes..
I also have stuff by Ellegarden, Gravi OSTs, and other various OSTs from various anime.

Sakano - March 23, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
UVERWORLD!!!!!!!!

I totally love them ^^

keriko - March 23, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
I have that song "revolve" on my mp3 player and god only knows how many times I've listened to it. I just recently found their "D-techno life" song which is apparently the second opening to Bleach.

And I owe my introduction to that all to you Zellas.

I'm with you Jade,
I don't like R&B and hip hop. BLECK!

LustrousJade - March 25, 2006 06:16 PM (GMT)
And Frou Frou!
I love her songs.
<3

@Keriko - its strange cause I started disliking RnB, hiphop and the likes when I started to like anime more.

keriko - March 25, 2006 07:55 PM (GMT)
oh i really like Frou Frou too! I downloaded her entire album Details *too poor to buy, that and I couldn't find it anywhere here*

I really like "Must Be Dreaming" and "Maddening Shroud."

I never really liked r&b, when i was younger my mom listened to gangster rap (ice cube and the like) so I don't mind that. Its mainly the fact that the lyrics are stupid that I dislike R&B and hip/hop.

LustrousJade - March 27, 2006 03:09 PM (GMT)
Ah! Does it have the song Hear me Out?
Her album isn't available in our area so I just listen to her songs online.
If you could please give me the link where I could dl her songs?
:D

I downloaded it song by song via limewire, its slightly illegal but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

I ended up deleting limewire as it uses java and i uninstalled java out of principle. It took up too much CPU and memory. *shakes fist at java*

You can get limewire at http://www.limewire.com I believe. Otherwise I would just check your good ol' torrent sites.

Yes DETAILS is the album with "Hear Me Out"

If you still can't find it i can upload it song by song for you...... as a last resort.

LustrousJade - March 28, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
Just as I suspected.
Tsk tsk...that is illegal young miss.
:P
Kidding. I had limewire once, but I uninstalled it for the same reasons.
I think I'll go ask a friend instead to dl it for me, she still has limewire.
Thanks so much.

keriko - March 28, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
I am a pirate, there's no denying that. I would buy it legit if my university wasn't so busy anally raping me for tuition and the like, to the point where i have work a crappy retail job (on top of having loans) just to pay the rent.

/end rant.

< proud pirate. I like call myself "Garner 0' E-booty"

LustrousJade - March 28, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
Ah. I know how that feels. Your school supports anal raping? Reserve me a slot for the next semester ok?

keriko - March 28, 2006 07:15 PM (GMT)
will do, the tuition will probably go up again. So perhaps by the time you get there they'll stop using any lube.

still i'm all about downloading music. If i like the songs i generally go and buy the cd. I did that with muse. I heard their music, liked it, went out and bought the album. Worth every pence of my last 7 pounds. Listened to that album for a majority of the 10 HOUR plane ride home.

LustrousJade - March 31, 2006 06:36 AM (GMT)
Dry humping? Oh well, I think I shall bring my own lube then..can't be helped.

I have only bought one album so far..the others were gifts. I usually spend my money buying movies and software..so nothing's left for music. I either dl the songs or borrow cds from friends.
^^

keriko - April 24, 2006 06:05 AM (GMT)
ooh i'm going to a High and mIGHTY COLOR concert this weekend! They're playing at an anime convention in Houston that I'm going to, Shiokazecon. I'm really looking forward to it!

Also Dir en Grey is coming to Texas (Dallas) with KoRn this summer. I hope to go but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Dir en Grey played in Austin, Texas at the South by Southwest Music festival but i couldn't afford to go. Like $150 a ticket per day and this was a multi-day event.

Oh Maaya in concert was awesome, she sang a lot of stuff I hadn't heard but she sang "Loop" and it was so great! She speaks english really well, i was impressed. The crowd was going wild for her, aww us anime nerds sure do love our j-pop stars. ^_^
