It was only a matter of time before Samuel L. Jackson got his own anime and yes, that time has come. Afro Samurai does some interesting things with how it looks and the world that it's set in which is a mix of both old world Japan and today's technology. It's bloody, violent with an alarming body count in the first ten minutes and pretty damn good! Built upon the old must avenge my _________ insert one--father, mother, family, lover, brother....it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Yes! I saw this on Spike the other day and went, "Hey! This is that anime that Tats posted about on the forum the other day" although I had not seen the clip you offered yet.

So I watched this clip and its the same show. Makes me think of stuff like House of daggers and all that but animated. Classical kick your/their/our butts type of show! It was pretty darn cool actually. ^^ But it's funny about Samuel doing the voice haha! I hadn't picked up on that part when I saw it on TV.

Bah, cable is overrrated. The only reason I have it now, outside the basic channels like news and stuff is because they were offering a package that made cable and internet together almost the same price as just internet by itself. Although I AM finding the On Demand kinda cool...just wish there was more anime I could choose from.

YES! I totally know Samurai Champloo--the soundtrack off the chain and it took me a few eps to get into it but seeing as it was done by the same guy that did Cowboy Bebop and the animators of the Kill Bill O-ren sequence I gave it a shot and I'm very glad I did. Jin and his glasses are smexy smexy! Afro Samurai reminds me of SC--the way it looks and the way the fight sequences play out, just with more blood.

I also have Ninja Scroll the movie and the tv series, though I haven't finished watching the series yet. I haven't seen Samurai 7 but have heard some decent things about it.

As for his hair, I dig the 'fro! Maybe he'll do a Foxxy Brown one episode and pull a katana or some shit out of it and start killing people with it or maybe do a Bride With The White Hair kind of thing and strangle people with it!

One can only hope!
