Does anyone else here watch J-Dramas? I've become addicted to them! I've watched a couple recently and I thought I would recommend them to you guy in case you ever felt like watching something different.
Hana Yori Dango/
Hana Yori Dango 2 - This is the first J-Drama that I watched and it's by far my favourite. Based on the anime and manga 'Boys over flowers'. The story is about a poor girl (Tsukushi Makino) who attends a very rich and highclass school. The school is pretty much run by 4 students there who call themselves "F4" (short for Flowery 4). All of which are adored by the student body because they're so rich, powerful and very
very pretty ^__^ Makino gets on the wrong said of the F4 leader Tsukasa Domyoji and receives 'The Red Notice'...which basically means everyone in the school is to beat the crap out of her and make her life living hell. It's a romantic comedy with a good amount of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat. One I would recommend to anyone who hasn't seen a J-Drama before. The second series has only begun airing in Japan, and the first episode was sooooo good!
Gokusen/
Gokusen 2 - This is a brilliant series ^_^ although most of the episode endings are pretty much the same you can't help but want to watch more and more of it. It's about the Granddaughter of a Yakuza leader who becomes a high school teacher. She ends up teaching the worst class in the school and whipping them all into shape (or she tries to at least).
Kimi wa petto - I can't remember who recommended this one to me but I was surprised at how good it was ^_^ Based on the manga 'Tramps like us'. Sumire come home from her work one day to find a young man called Takeshi beaten half to death in a box outside her apartment. She takes him home and cleans him up. Takeshi eventually doesn't want to leave Sumire and ends up becoming her 'pet'. She names him Momo because he looks like a dog she used to own. Another romantic comedy.
Majo no Jouken - This is the series I’m currently watching. I've not finished watching it yet but so far it's really brilliant! The series is about the forbidden love between a 26 year old teacher (Michi) and her 17 year old pupil (Hikaru) and their struggle to have society accept their relationship. It's a very angsty series and can be really quite sad at some points. I've only one more episode to watch and I can't wait for it to finish downloading. I'm so eager to see how this is all going to end!
