for me its a funny/long/crazy story with a bunch of twisties and turnies XD

but to make a long story short.. i remember a friend mention the show (and also i had seen many references on the net) but when she told me about it she told me that shuichi was a girl! so i happily went to rent the 1st volume and was quite surprised.. ! well it was strange at first..shounen-ai.. was new and strane to me..so much so that i didn't even finish the dvd
:( from there i just forgot about it...

several months later...
i was browsing through some AMV's and came upon one that had a gravi song. the most catchiest, beautiful song in the world! The Rage Beat! from there i wanted to hear more music and eventually rented the 2nd volume then i realized that i really liked seeing those two loves together so i bought the rest of the volumes and the rest as they say is history! :P

WOW ! You like they're songs !!!

That's cool

My favorite song is Glaring Dream !

i was at a friends sleep over, and i met one of her friends i didn't know. She was a huge yaoi fan, and at that point, i knew what yaoi was, but i wasn't fan, infact it creeped me out. Then she told me about gravitation, i declined her offer to watch it at her house, cuz i was still a bit freaked. After about a month, i was the most bored i possible could be, and i went on youtube.com, like she suggested, and watched the first episode of gravitation. after that i simply felling in love with it and all yaoi, i got over to hastings as fast as i could and bought all the manga and the anime as fast as possible, then i downloaded the OVA and burned it on disks myself. I really really started to get into it when i began to read fanfiction. Thats also kinda the story of how i became to love yaoi, and now, honestly, gravitation is like a drug to me, i need it!

I don't know how I first found out about it. Some random search on the internet about Japanese sexuality and however it happened I ended up on a website about shounen-ai and Gravitation was mentioned. I didn't know about Youtube, but I found it on Netflix and ordered vol. 1. Instant. Hook. From there, I ran not walked to Borders and bought the first three manga volumes and burned through them and an ad in the back of one of them led me to FAKE and the rest as they say is history. It was a short walk from there to yaoi, a cab ride from watching yaoi to writing and a phone call to rping some few months later. hahah... it was like watching a row of dominoes fall. One thing led to another to another and another and here I am. Yaoi addicted, fanfic writing, manga buying, anime watching/downloading rping.

Like drugs, yaoi is a slippery slope and I slid down it with glee.

I had known about Gravitation for a while before i actually watched it. I had come home from work one night and my ex (who i was living with a the time) was listening to 'spicy marmalade'. The first thing i said was "Are they saying 'spicy marmalade?!' how strange" He then told me about Gravitation and how i would totally love it, but at the time i didn't think i would like it because it was about a band and i wasn't into watching romance anime at that time.

It was about 4-5 months after i broke up with him that i decided to watch it. I was bored and had no anime to watch so i asked him to recommend something, and once again he recommended Gravitation. And he was right, i totally love it ^__^ I instantly fell in love with Hiro, K and of course the almighty Sakano *waves her Sakano is love banner*

Soon after watching the anime i logged onto amazon and ordered the first 5 books of the manga...a few days later after they arrived i ordered the rest....i then had to wait nearly a month for the final volume to get released. During that time i decided to read Gravitation fanfiction which is how i came to know K-San and how i discovered this forum.

I had always been a yaoi fan but it was only FF fanfics i read and fanart i looked at. From Gravitation i discovered FAKE and Eerie Queerie, which then lead to the discovery of the publishing company called DPM who also publish Yaoi manga.

Gravitation for me was a fluke. I discovered the wonderful world of slashing characters in Tales of Symphonia...wrote some fanfiction...fell in love with boys on boys *drools*

So with my new interest and many naughty fanarts later I decide to look for anime that is Yaoi or Shounen Ai. I searched torrents for animes and I saw Gravitation written in a torrent list all big like GRAVITATION. So I clicked and downloaded the whole show.

When it was done I watched it and I squee'd when Hiro almost kissed Shu in that "You're making me lonely" scene. And then Shu and Yuki kissed at the end I hooted and punched the air lol!! I was hooked, after that I watched everything I could get my hands on. OVA's, the Remixes...made fanart and wrote fanfiction for it.

To be honest my first love on that show was Hiro.. I was like whoa fangirl! lol But after reading the remixes with K and Hiro.. omfg! That was it for me...I was obessed with it all lol.

OHH yea and the music really rocks! Sleepless Beauty was my first favourite!

HA! FYI.. when I created this board I took a day to decide whether to play K or Hiro >.> Ultimately I choose K B)

Look! I'll ramble!

Hrn...

Well.

I knew nothing of Gravitation. In fact, I’m not the biggest Ani-Manga fan you’ll find- I’m very. Very. Very picky about what I watch, because it’s hard to get hold of anything in the first place with such limited funds. XD

So I’d been obsessively watching the Shichinin-tai arc of Inuyasha, until I could repeat twenty of the episodes word-by-word. – Mind you, I couldn’t watch Jyakotsu and Bankotsu’s ends- so I just avoided them after the initial fest of tears.

So in the midst of that, I was sketching up plenty of Jya fan art, and happened to have one set in an AU. Now somehow, this AU involved a particular back pack that I’ve always wanted to have- just a giant pink bunny. *blink* ... ...I can’t give you the logic for that.

Then an associate of mine online, whom the picture was done for in the first place mentions ‘Aw! A Kumagoro!’

‘...A Kumagogo?’

‘Kumagoro. It’s the bunny in Gravitation.’

‘...Not following.’

‘Gay Rockstars. You’ll like it.’

And so she sent me the torrent file...

The first time, I was thwarted, as the other members of the house were hissing over the internet lag, so I just let it go. Then, a month or so later I decided ‘What the Hell.’

Around... Oh. 4:00 AM it was finished, and I sat through the intro song, thinking this was going to end up being some...fluffified painful endeavor. And then came that voice.

And those boots.

You know. The ones with the slightly pointed toe, and the wedge heels?

Feathered Coat.

And the scream ‘HOLY SHIT! ORIKASA IS VOICING ANOTHER SADISTIC GAY MAN!’ – My girlfriend damn near fell out of her chair, and after a good scolding, I was forced to sit through the rest of the episodes with headphones, and quite a lot of conspiratorial giggling. ...

That done, I promptly scoured the internet.

By some miracle, I found Gurabite- The fan-fiction archive... And over the course of a few weeks, read it. ....No, that isn’t a mistake... I read the whole... damn....archive. ...

... I have a lot of free time.

Once that was done, I began writing fanfics, which is around the time I discovered FoG. XD And then after a while I decided to drop the fanfics and simply torment you good people with my insanity on an in-character basis.

otaku_with_no_life - October 15, 2006 06:45 PM (GMT)
i was reading through all of these, it seems like most of us found gravitation through a pure mirical.

Dear god I love the story Ryu and Segu baby, you are insane I tell ya! ^_~

Here's my lil ol story about how I fell for lovely lil Gravitation.

I got kicked out of school yes yes, for very interesting reasons I wont go through and well, bored out of my mind, under what one would call house arrest, one morning I decided to get up, make me a cup of noodle and watch some cable, what else could I do? Well luckily for me I have Comcast Cable [woot, cheap plug, yay comcast!] and I saw they had anime on Demand, so I began one and I'll tell you what, it was in English, the most horrible voices ever, and I still fell in love with it! To be drop dead honest I found K to be the most dead sexy mother f****er on the damn planet and well YAOI! YAY! DUH! Haha! Heh, well I showed it to my Sis and she liked it too but she said that they probably had them in Japanese online which would sound a hell of a lot better, and it did, and she was just MAD for Tohma, I swear she finds him to be the cutest thing. So hell we watched all the animes and read all the mangas, got all her friends into it and then I, being a late night nut, found FOG, yay. I've always been a Yaoi fan so Gravi fed my soul ahahaha!

Woo....well yay.

Seguchi-san - November 12, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
I had been considering watching Gravitation for about... 2 months, and during that faithful night, I ended up watching it. And it was absolutely gorgeus, and still is! In the end of December, I've been a fan for a year. ^^ I can't wait so I can celebrate on my so-called "anniversary". ^^;

Actually, because Ai Orikasa had a role in Gravitation, was one of the main reasons I watched it. But when I saw Tohma for the first time.. *insert dreamy sigh* Yup. Orikasa-sama really does her job well. I've been her loyal fan for a year by now. ^^

And my obsession finally reached the high levels. I used to have a long jet black hair (dyed), but only few months ago, I asked my friend to cut it. I had wanted short blonde hair ever since I first saw Gravitation and Tohma. And now... Well, I'm a blonde keyboardist. Plus my friends consider it odd when they see me without my hat. Oh well!

That's my story of how I met Gravitation and what kind of affect it had on me. Thanks for letting me share it. ^^

Anime Network. I hadnt even known there was an whole network for anime. I didnt watch Gravitation for a while. What I had watched was shows like Fullmetal Panic!, Azumanga Daioh, and Princess Tutu. I thought Gravitation was some boreing action (oxymoron! Ha!) type sho. My cousin said I should watch it but not with like, my parents or brothers because they're all pretty prejudice about people who are gay.

*Clears throat and prepares to give speech*

I was at the library, desperate for some manga after about a year's break from it... I saw Gravitation vol.1 and was like "Hey, I've heard of that one! Isn't that one about those two guys?" I wasn't 100% sure, but it looked interesting. I was very happy to find out that it was, in fact, "the one about those two guys". I got pretty much obsessed within the first 20 pages or so. So I searched the internet for the anime, watched it all while waiting for my boxset to arrive... Meanwhile looking for more of the manga.

This was last year. I'm still in love with it, and while I haven't yet finished the manga due to my laptop dying on me and lack of money... I love it.

ptork66 - January 28, 2008 03:16 AM (GMT)
I have yet to see more than probably 30 seconds of the anime. Nina gave me links. The only one I remember watching is when Shuichi moves himself in with Yuki....

....I'm more interested in reading the manga, particularly as I can print it out and take it with me. My computer is REALLY, REALLY slow, and it would take HOURS AND HOURS to load any of the anime episodes...and I don't have tv. : [

Girl Goten - May 11, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
XD
well, in my old school, (Chavez)
there was this girl named ruby who sat by herself reading a manga book, she looked really nice so i talked to her oneday. :]
i saw "Gravitation" and i was like, whats that? she said Yaoi ( i did'nt EVEN know what yaoi was at the time xD)
so she said boys on boys action

of course i said, its suppose to be girls on boys not the other way around !

soo.....when i moved into a house ( in the country >.>)
i wanted to read gravitation, but instead it had the episodes !

it was actually good considered it was boys on boys ! O__0
and the guys were cute! i was hoping for ryuichi to meet up with tatsuha but i guess not -____-
so here i am!
