MAFIA: BOSS ARRESTED IN PALERMO, AT RISK OF 'LUPARA BIANCA'
(AGI) - Palermo, Nov. 13 -
Diego Trapani, a seventy year-old boss in the Resuttana neighbourhood arrested on Saturday by the Palermo Flying squad, was risking to become a victim of the 'Lupara Bianca' (a Mafioso killing that does not leave any traces of the victim). The investigators are convinced of this .
They think that he is a Mafia boss at a level that justified his arrest. According to what emerged from the inquiry of the flying squad, Di Trapani should have been sequestrated and then should have disappeared into the blue.
The same thing happened in September to Bartolomeo Spatola, a Mafia leader of Sferracavallo, and in January to Giovanni Bonanno, son of Armando, one of the killers of the son of the carabineri captain Emanuele Basile. In the meantime the prosecution's office in Palermo has requested the conmfirmation of the arrest of Di Trapani. The judge for preliminary hearings Vincenzina Massa will have to provide a reply within 48 hours.

Interestingly enough, Marchese (root being March as in ides of March) has reserved seats for bloodlines of Julius Cesar and higher level Roman soldiers such as what would now be considered intelligence officers. Could the LCN really have started around 0? Most certainly admit that Julius was quite a brilliant man.
