I have decided to make a Christmas fanart contest! Now, if you haven't already checked out my site check me out...., and read the rules/prize info under 'contests', please do so.....that way, you can't complain to me later <_<


Here are the guidelines for this event:

*Must be your ORIGINAL work!!!!!!! Yes, you can depict characters from different anime....but if you 'copy' them directly from another picture, YOU DIE. If I find out, you will be BANNED from entering my contests again....and I might even ban you from this forum as well..... NO CHEATING!!!
*Must depict the theme (see below for details) The artwork that best depicts the theme wins :) ;)
*entries must be submitted to me (with name *handle* somewhere on it) via email (see main page), and uploaded through hosting site (aka imageshack.us, photobucket, etc.)
on or before December 15th.
*Entries that will be considered for contest shall not be posted on this forum until I decide to do so....all that have been uploaded/hotlinked, or even thumbnailed here before I give expressed permission will be disqualified. This is only to prevent others from stealing ideas/spoiling the surprise. Of course I will display the winner's artwork proudly once the judging has ended......
*Absolutely NO nudity!!!! or sexual situations! Any artwork that I find to 'scandalous' shall be deleted, and disqualified!
*One submission per person.....please.....

The THEME for this contest!:

Christmas time (duh....) snow, gifts, etc. Don't be afraid to think outside the box....

Well, so far, Zemo is the only one to submit anything.....if this keeps up, he will win by default ;)

But, I am glad you are working on something for it, Magami! I always wanted to host an art contest, and if no one even was interested, I'd be crushed.....

I know that the 'prize' isn't great, or anything, but just the chance to win, and be proud is enough for me! Plus, you get your name up in big letters on the main site, and recognition here on this forum as well!!! (not to mention you get some artwork for your time....artwork I've been working diligently to complete, and I am the biggest perfectionist you'll ever want to meet, so you know I put my all into it....)

In order to get more enthusiasm about this contest....I was thinking of maybe showing a preview 'teaser'......the 'work-in-progress' still in its rough stage, way before the inking is done......and before being colored.....

I could make it so that no one could right click (to prevent saving/stealing)....that way I'd protect it from evil-doers......and still get people's attention.....


What do you think? It doesn't have to be too big, just large enough to see......

that sounds great, you could make it small and unfinished, plus i will show you how to add a water mark so no one can steal it ;)

I thought I should tell you all that it IS christmas themed.....she will have a Santa hat on (plus the coloring will help out too....) so don't think you are being let down..........

Are you going to post all of the art once you've chosen a winner? I know that only one will get archived as a 'past winner', but I was just wondering if the others would be put up in this thread or another newer one.

Shiroiyuki, I have a question. I just came up with this now. But do you think it is possible that I can hold a drawing tourney and discuss it in a section under "Fanart" and choose a winner and post it there? Cus it would be cool to be able to hold other small little tourneys with different themes (like how you do it with the holidays). If you will agree to this can you please pm me and tell me? Or if not can you tell me why?
