IC Rules

1 – No Godmodding! You can not have completely control over another persons character. It’s understandable that in some situations you mar need to write in a few of their actions such as in a scene where character have to make a quick get away, you might have to write ‘Mr x got in the car, and Mrs X also got in’ in order to keep the post moving along nicely. Small instances such as that are allowed, but you are not to have complete control over another person’s character. Nor are you allowed to kill off a person’s character without the player’s and staff’s consent.

2 – Beginning your post. To ‘set the scene’ of a post, the first poster should write a monologue for their character. Only the first poster is required to write a monologue. If you don’t know what a monologue is, look around at the openings of some other posts.

3 – Keep one character per account. You are allowed to create more than one account per email on these boards. Also please try to have your account name relate to your character so that we can identify you quickly.

4 – Stay in character. I’ve seen on so many other boards that people tend to write their characters doing something that is against the personality written for their character. If your character is shy, would they really be running around the city stark naked, screaming at the top of their voice? No, they wouldn’t. Please try to keep your character IN character.

5 – Post length. We do not expect amazingly long posts from you, but please, try to write at least 2 solid paragraphs of writing per post. We want to keep the level of roleplay at the board quite high, so please aim for longer posts; but don’t write us a whole novel on one single detail.

6 – Grammar and spelling! Please use the spell check button on reply to post of create post page. Or, alternatively, you could just put your post in word and use that check your grammar and spelling. We will allow for some spelling mistakes, as we’re only human; but please try to keep grammatical errors and typos to a minimum. We expect everyone who roleplays here to be literate, so please make sure your reply is readable before posting.
