Hello everyone!
Haha, I always find these introductions awkward...
But, in any case, I used to watch Pokemon faithfully during the Indigo arc. After a while, of course, my interest waned as I grew older, but recently, my little sister (eleven years younger than I am, with none in between!) has begun to like watching the show. After vehemently refusing to watch with her, I finally relented last week.
Imagine the wave of nostalgia...but, I was quite surprised that it wasn't merely fond reminisence that brought on the contentment I felt; it actually mangaged to rekindle that old love of the show, even if substantially less passionate than before.
...I sound so sentimental. XP
And OLD, LOL!
Anyway, I quickly found that part of why I loved it was Ash. No, I'm afraid I'm not a giggly fangirl (I am female, though); what I loved about him was the subtle ways in which he has changed since the beginning. But, I'll post about that later, seeing as how this is an introduction!
Haha, Pokemon is not exactly something that one professes to love when one is past ten or so in years...I'll have to settle for being a bit of a closet fan.

For older fans, Pokemon is ALL about nostalgia. I watch it because it's a big part of my childhood and the characters mean a lot to me, not because I think it's a great show or anything.
There's a small giggly fangirl in everyone. *snicker*

Eh, we don't demand you to be head over heels for Ash, just as long as you don't dislike/hate him :3

Oh, I don't know. There are certain things I'm noticing now that I would not have appreciated when I was younger, such as the subtlety in character maturation (barring TR) and such.
